  2. Salud Thx you Paul, your Leadership has been the "spear point" that let this grow, or should i say "pierce" this deep. Thanks to the many others that have helped and make this what it is today, one year, our first baby steps Cant wait to see what happens in 365 days
  3. I am waiting for my neckseal, to submit to the 501st first, upon approvel i am going for deployment. the armor was done and finished with TK Deployment status ready. (Scott willing <_< LOL joking) but i think the speed of deployment is okay, considering the time from when the deployment Standards were official.... or am i mistaken???

  10. Dumb question... How long did you let the velcro "set" before you went of gallavanting? same thing happened with my shins the first time, put the velcro and when test trooping..... then i had to remove sticky guck, clean and replace, let it "SET" FOR 24 HOURS, didnt happen again. Just a thought
  11. And dont forget that they are more on the "sides" rather then on the top of the leg, or in the middle of the legs( top part) ( the screen shots when Han and the blond kid are defiling our armor, in the detenction cell block are good close shots ) They actually cover the small area between the butt plate and the leg .... see the movie...sorry cant put it in words
  12. Eye and hand protection!!!!!!!!! ahhh Clutch beat me.... need to read before i post.

  15. Sorry to hear that Paul. But like everyone has said you nhave done a incredible job. until now the FISD is and has been your baby. You have been our coach. Thx for your diligence and pacients ( with my multiple pm and e-mails) The Age of Daetrin is at its end, enter the Age of Ed. Once again thx and quoting Chazz you will always be our "First DL" Congrats Ed, hope that we will be able to help you in this process to make the FISD grow in members and in comaradship. and mantian the FISD as the best Detachment.
  16. Hey Rob!! Now what you mean, all this energy and nerves are building up What i did was do an inventory of all the tools and nic nacks i had, and double crossed them with all the tools i saw people was useing. A Dremel was Priceless!!!!! cant stress that enuff!!!!! I used snaps and dont regret it one sec, and was lucky enuff to brorow a professional snap tool from a tailor friend and that helped alot, i do know there are snap tool kits that dont run for to much. I also made a ( arrenged) a file system with pictures, web pages and all thing that have to do with the armor i was going for ANH. And one advice i do give you is take your time, enjoy your self, and talk to your local 501st buddys, i wish i hads some down here. Any way Hope to see the progress. TK_MD
  17. GOOD FOR YOU GREAT CALL SCOTT ( now thats what i call a Deployment Officer) looses no one:) I think suit looks good!!!!!!!
  18. Ya i agree wear someone elses dirty pauldron is not right Any way, Palpatine not willing, if we are ever in a star destroyer crash at least we are wearing clean armor....... Hope that reading that is thats as funny as i thought it was when i thought of it. ( I laughed)
  19. ahhh man, i was eyeing your set... but your neck seal has but me over my budget may be later. good luck TK_MD
  20. It happens..... Even though i have a US Passport, i get and have had the whole body search thing EVERY TIME i have gone to the States. You get use to the questiones, the search, and over time you can see which is the best way to answer the questions depending on who asks them ( good cop/bad cop ) so that it ends quickly .What i enjoy asking then after every thing "Do i fit some profile???" " because i always get searched" "No sir its a aleatory choosing system" I just smile...... US Passport or not, if you come from Bolivia..... get ready to spread them O well Jhon sorry to hear that. Would suggest you talk real good with the Embassy so that you know what status you are for future traveland stuff.
  21. Wow this thread was a life safer.... The shins are the last things i need to finish my armor. but i am still a little confused, could you guys post pictures of the "inside" so that i can get an idea of were what gets glued, and were and how to velcor what. Thx TK_MD
  22. Okay hope this explains better, and hope this might help..... but 4 inches is 4 inches.
  23. I had the same problem, but i moved the clasp as high as i could ( ab plate) on the straps on the ab plate and that made the ab plate snug to my body and the chest plate falls nice. Sorry no photos. then again i am only 6 foot will try to get pics or do some thing.
