its the cheapest $$ mic i found in radio shack..... 4-6 bucks, what i did was let other ppl wear my helmet and read to me.... this way i played around with volume and got to hear what it sounds like out side, once i was happy with the settings, i recorded my self with different equipment ( tape recorded,computer,camcorder ) and read out loud the same book to get audio feedback on what i sound like........ Lol i am enjoying helping u out!!!!!!

Welcome !!!! I am 6 foot and a pear shaped trooper thats was wiethging around 220 when i first got my FX. and i got it to fit....... Fit better after some constant sit ups LOL!!!! Remember to use your search Box 99.98% of all your questions are answered in some way or other. do research on all 3 episdoe troopers, see which one u like the most. and Mingle with members of the forum, get to know some of us, and then worry about getting your armor, it will save u TONS f time and money to know and then do....... As for the fans, one great idea is to place little tiny stilts (sp??) 1/2 cm or less then a 1/4 of a inche on all four corners this way u get air flow to go under the fans and then the air gets pushed. one over thing is to place small slanted vents over the fan to push air in one direcion. Get 2 or more fans with this and u can make air actually circulate in the helmet. remember to use fans with 8 omhs or less if not the noise is hear out side of the helmet.

Another thing that u might want to look into is see if u have your mic over and infront of the speaker, when u have your helmet on. if your mic is in front of your speaker u get feed back regardless of the type. As for padding ????? can help u there, i am in the same place u are???? no idea. some ppl have used foam padding, or have actually en cased the speaker, and filled the space with that faom spray for electrical insulation.ç Good luck!!!

I have and use a hard-hat liner and luv it!!!!! but the chin straps are what they used....... I think it really just depends on u. Wait for someone that has both or has trooper with both..... as for me i will stay with my hard-hat liner.

Yes i agree frown for air intake and the chin and aerator as speaker area, as long as u seal the speaker good and try to place the mic as far behind the speakers as u can, with u bieng able to stcik your head in the lid u should be fine.. i am intrested in seeing your take on power supply for a 3 speaker, voice amp senerio......
