  1. Could I request being updated on these boards too please sir. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember...amp;userID=3723 The reason I'm short is I also do Palpy and like to keep you all on your toes by getting into my TK disguise and wonderring into in the mess hall. I'm watching you
  2. Yes AA will tell you tell himself that the ones used in Tunisia (the first ones) weren't good on set. that's why some behind the scenes photos had them with no shins on. They came back and the suit was changed. Knees in particular. AA claims it was then decided to spice it up a little by giving the suit the ab buttons etc. Fits in with the 2 suits. True? Who knows
  3. Ah you beat me too it. I was going to add this today. Also the originator of these photos has also been contacted Hopefully he'll have some more. I think I have enough ref photos to have a go at vac forming something this weekend. So time permiting, I'l llet you know how I all get on
  4. Let me know how you get on. Daetrin, thanks for the info. Isn't much there though and that link to RPF doesn't work FISD? What does that mean sir?
  5. Hey Commander Voltaire, where is this special ops site dude? I'm sure we'de all like a look too
  6. Ah, "Paul" <Lights goes on> Hello sir! Toilet parts were also used often too. Maybe for this...? The cisterns and internal gubbins etc. I'm hoping I get a close up from him, but a totally great find of the back stage shot of the space TK. Ace find Hey, lets make sure these are Gaz tanks are empty first hey. Or we may very well end up being space troopers!
  7. I thought I'd share this with you as I've just had a phone call then email chat with Andrew Ainsworth about these backbacks. (I work 5 minutes from SDS) I want to build one too and sent him your screen caps to jog his memory. This is what he had to say ****************** Dear John Hoover wahing machine hoses were common as were camping gaz containers - see top of backpack. That black hose looks a bit more industrial though. Kind Regards Andrew ***************** And yes, you're right about these being made after Tunisia. Our beloved sand friends were made before normal TKs. When they came back from filming in the desert he was asked to modify the legs slightly (hence the shots of some troopers with no legs ) and he decided to change the sniper plate and also add a few greeblies onto what now have become our ab buttons. I just learned this today. Awesome bit of history! He's a great chap so I've asked him for any close ups of this he may still have. So if I get some, you guys will be the second to know
  8. Ah ok, fair enough then. Nice work. Just got confused cos it said ANH and was a bit too symmetrical. More like a ROTJ. In that case, good on you for making a new sculpt my friend
  9. Are you 100% that's an ANH lid dude? Looks too clinical and symmetrical to me.... www.starwarshelmets.com
  10. In short, perfect! PM sent. Thank you
  11. Awesome! Thanks guys. Next question....anyone here doing good hypafirm or resin casts of a sterling Please send a mail to [email protected] if you know of anyone....or if you are that someone
  12. Cheers dude but I'm ESB E11. Where there any difference used in ESB from that of the ANH blaster?
  13. actually, this baby looks the same to me? --------
  14. Fellow troopers, Does anyone know categorically 100% what, if any, the differences between ANH E11s and ESB "snowtrooper" E11s were? As far as I'm aware there are none. Only ROTJ E11s are different. The Candian version plus the scope mount and Greeblies etc. I'm in the process of doing a snowtrooper and have a pretty good ANH blaster. Now for movie accuracy I was wondering do I need to make a new E11 for my snowie or is my ANH version movie accurate? Does anyone have any good photos to prove this too please? Thank you brothers John
  15. Yep sorry I clicked after I posted here. Sorry Good luck with Andrew mate. Hell of a nice chap but takes his time. This garter does look like a great mod and I'll be trying it before maybe changing over myself.
  16. Not me personally, but I know you wouldn't be denied. We have many 501st folk popping on from all over. Even more so now due to the bonds made in the Rose Parade Plus people come on to ask info on Celebration Europe. Flights, best hotels etc
  17. Ben, hello! As already stated, most of these straps are hidden under our armour and we don't have that much undersuit showing really anyway. Plus this particular one will have most of the strap hidden under our drop box. Most people will be looking at your blaster and your face etc to even go thinking about looking for black straps. If they do, clock them with your E-11 Pop over to the UKG boards too my friend. http://www.501stukgarrison.co.uk/forum/ If you already do, forgive me Nice mod by the way
