Hey Gang, It seems that Hotmail is blocking out our server which causes any emails sent from this forum, or any other forum on the same system (aka hestia.site5.com which is our server) to be rejected from Hotmail. Here's a piece of the message from hotmail This most likely happened thanks to some stupid anonymous jerk who is also a customer of the hosting company we're with and he probably created a website and spammed people, and caused the WHOLE server to be banned from hotmail. This means that EVERY customer who also shares the same hosting server as we do are also experiencing the same problems. I hope the hosting company has canceled their account and told him to get lost. Anyway, thanks to that jerk who spammed hotmail, this basically means ANYONE using a Hotmail account, must go now to "My Controls" and change your email address to something else ASAP! I can tell if you haven't changed it yet as I will continue to get emails from hotmail in my admin box telling me your hotmail account is still being rejected. Google Mail, Yahoo, and other ones are just fine, only hotmail accounts are causing these annoying problems. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE the hotmail account that is listed in your INSTANT MESSENGER profile field, that has NOTHING to do with the account that you use to receive messages from the forum, ONLY change your email address to something that is more suitable and will not be bounced back. Thank You for your time, now get going and get rid of those hotmail addresses!

I've changed the Chat room software for the forum as the other chat system is not allowed on the site by the Web Host, hopefully this will be within their "Terms of Service" as the chatroom itself is hosted off site. It's IRC based, so you can also connect to it via a IRC client like mIRC and just use this server to connect. Server: irc.dilexnet.net Channel: #whitearmor You can grab mIRC at www.mirc.com

It seems to be a bug on this version of the forum as it appears on other forums as well. Hopefully they'll get around to fixing it in the next release which is 2.30 In the meantime, send yourself 3 messages and some roses.

Yeah, most of us didnt use any camel packs, and some of us snuck off to the portapottys to take a quick piss before we started marching on. I don't think that many of us needed to pee considering we sweated most of our liquids out.

Haha, every 8 hours haha. There is a session time out you know. It normally logs people out of the forum if they haven't been on it in a while. The thing is, others say they aren't having these problems. I'll check some other cookie settings, but you might want to try the forum out on different browsers. If the same happens for all of them, it's the forum, if it only happens to one browser and not the others, that's pretty self explainitory.

There's also another option in admin that says Match user's IP Address during session validation If 'yes', the IP address of the user must match the one stored in the sessions table for security. Only use 'no' in an intranet environment where many users share the same IP address. Setting Group: Security and Privacy I've set that to NO for now, tell me if that changes anything, if it doesn't, it might have to do with how long the session is for or the cookie time out.

Security is there for a reason, to keep hackers and spammers from getting in. Although, I do believe there is another setting that stops it from being picky about where you log in from. But leave stronghold on.

Hey Gang, I've had the iTrooper.net domain for a year now, but it's sorta been in cryostasis since I've been busy with other things, trooping, life, etc... I've just renewed it at a new domain site, for two years and I want to start putting it to good use. So does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do with such a site named "www.iTrooper.net"? One of my ideas was to do some video or audio blog, or some ongoing series. But donno how practical and time consuming that will be, so what other ideas do people have? Thanks

Well you know, no upgrade is perfect hehehe. I'll still be squeezing out bugs here and there, but I'll darn sure find out what happened to those smilies and bring them forth. And remember, it's V'Pier with a capital V apostrophe ' capital P lowercase i e r.

I hope you guys like this skin, it seemed like the nicer of the lot. I could probably customize it a tad further a bit later. Right now I just want to squish any little bugs out of the system.

Hello Gang, I've just updated the forum today. This update contains heaps of major upgrades, and you'll find some new things cropping up here and there. For starters the posting window is a tad different, also everyones profile page has been amped up heaps, which has now been redubbed "Profile Portal". There are new things like "My Friends" which you might notice. Anyway, have a look around. I'll get a new skin uploaded soon that fits the theme of WhiteArmor.Net

Well we're setting it up so Supporters can now put their profile photos up. I think Daetrin was working on that one, as I am already busy with upgrading this forum from version 2.1.7 to 2.2.1 and believe me, it's a MAJOR UPDATE, you'll see what I mean when I'm done. Also, there will be a slight change in skin (but I'll make sure to restore the background and header when done). P.S. You might want to fix your signature, it looks broken.

Nice logo, though I think it's a bit visually heavy to use on the intro page. But it's gonna look great as a patch though

Well we can always tweak some settings to cure some of these problems. Sorry I can't be much help Paul, sorta on vacation from everything at the moment. Headed over to New York City to spend time with the family for a month, then I'll head back to Sydney and we can catch up on all our webmasterly stuff. Besides, I need a break from all this webmaster stuff anyway, or I'd burn out.
