Hahahaha, cute. Yeah, the rest of the image shows Vader putting the head on a snowman TK. Here's the image off StarWars.Com

Well make sure you guys look me up when you get there, just look for odd hair, it's mostly likely me. Can't give away too much info. Maybe I should wear an aussie flag as a cape.

Hahahaha, I did something similar on http://www.clonetroopers.net and http://www.bikerscout.net as well.

Thanks TK-8280, and it's V'Pier not Vpier for future reference

Hey Gang, Figured we best get this post in asap and find out who is attending the Rose Parade, and is a regular poster here (or CTN or BSN). I'd love to catch up and meet the faces behind the usernames here. Just keep an eye out for the Terror Australis Garrison's bright Yellow (75%) and Green (25%) shirts (or I'll be wearing a shirt that says Australia along with a yellow and green hat that says Australia on it), you can't miss us, and out of those 4, I'm sure you can easily pick out which one is me (I'll have the crazy hair - I can't give out any more details than that, or I'll spoil it.). Anywho, I'll start the ball rolling. Greg aka V'Pier aka TB-5118 is going!!

Remember, if you see any major graphical changes around here, it's usually me aka V'Pier who did it. I saw this image, blew it up a bit, did some photoshop artistic effect on it and it came out sweet. Happy Holidays from Australia, my Trooper Brothers & Sisters from around the world!!

I did? wow, I didn't know I webmastered this place in my sleep. But the buttons were cleaned up days ago, it's very much possible your browser cache was a few days behind the times. I normally do Control F5 and it forces the system to refresh, if that doesn't work, purge your cache, and do Control F5, the change should show up then.

We do have a PDA skin for folks using it at work which is ultra plain and less obvious that it's a forum.

Hehe, I did similar things with some of the other forums I run, just to spice up a dull "seen daily" page with something new.

Thanks, I appreciate the compliments, I hope everyone else likes it as well

Greetings Troopers, I'm posting this up to ask for help in regards to having a place to crash in LA from Jan 2nd to Jan 9th. I'll be going down to the Rose Parade with the 501st from Dec 27th to Jan 2nd. I've asked to extend my return date to Feb 9th, so that I can fly to New York to see my family which I have not done in 5 years. They were very kind to extend the return date for me without any issues. Now I was hoping to fly to New York on the 2nd of Jan, but the cost of a ticket ended up being over $600 which is more than I can spare right now, fortunately the travel agent who's booking the Rose Parade flight said that the price drops down to $300 on Jan 9th which is a bit more affordable to pay. I have not been in a position to afford a trip back to New York in years, and this is an opportunity for me to do so in an affordable way, so I thank George Lucas for this opportunity to march in the parade, and a chance to see my family after all these years. The downside is, I don't really have any place to stay for those few days, and once again, I can't afford to get a hotel room for those few days, which would make the whole point of saving money on a plane ticket a bit redundant. So I'm asking if there are any LA Troopers, or even non-501st members who are willing to be generous this time of year to allow me to stay at their place for that week, so that I can fly back to New York and see my family after such a long time. I would be so greatful for your help. I've already posted a message in the South California Garrison forum, but am still waiting for a response from someone. Thank You

Hello Troopers, I've just added a first name field into the profile. Can you please go in and fill it out, I found out it helps kill some confusion and helps us all get familair with our real names, that way we're not all clueless when we meet in person. It's also just nice to know what the person's real name is that you've been speaking to for 6 months hehe. Anyway, go to My Controls -> Edit Profile Information and you'll find it at the very top. It will then display itself on your posts. <-------- See what I mean Thanks Gang V'Pier (aka Greg)

What I like about it, is how it some how it looks remotely similar to the clones logo, as to say "Years of Tradition Serving the Empire since the Clone Wars" or something. Doesn't mean that TK's are clones or anything, just means that TK's have been around for ages.
-
Not bad, but we're not Stormfront.net, and I believe that's because of it's KKK connections.
-
Here's what? whatever you tried to post aint working
-
Yeah, considering we didn't do anything specific at Clonetroopers.net and look how that place is, it's booming. Sometimes name isnt everything. Also.............considering the domain is "White Armor"(.net) that in itself is already a catchy name.
-
Gosh, who ever would have thought it would be this damn bloody hard to name a detachment. How about.... DHS - Deathstar Hallway Squad TK-1138 (Static): "Hey you! do you have a hallway pass?" Lowly Officer: "Ummmm no?" TK-1138 (Static): "Blast em!"

I mean that's fine if they want to do that, but most people these days in other countries are being encouraged to learn and use english. But as for interface issues, we are more than happy to inject a different language file into the forum so that they can view their interface in their native language. We just need them to tell us what language they want, and we'll try to see if there is one out there for them, that we can install.
-
There are language files that can be installed into the forum. Then they just select the language they want to read the forum in. But posts will still come out in english, unless there is a specific forum where people are posting non-english topics.
-
Hehe, thanks buddy. I think we're getting closer to perfection, still a few more bugs here and there, but it's sure looking better.
-
I've replaced the Post Icons and New Message Indicators. Looks a little bit better now, we're getting there.

Kick back, put your bucket down and relax while we put together your new TK Detachment website.
