  1. I play WoW, but on a private server, hehe, save plenty of money that way and still get the same enjoyment ;D I play over at http://www.scapegaming.com
  2. Thanks Smitty, looking forward to building my armor soon ::: EXCITED ::: Hey guys, what I want to do fairly soon is have everyone sit down and discuss what we can add to this site to make things even better, have a good brainstorming session. Afterall, this is your site, and I'd like to do what I can to make it even better. Suggesting a few ideas, and see which ideas are feasible and which ideas are just too ridiculous to actually consider.
  3. HAHAHAHAHA ROFLMAO!!!! That's funny!!
  4. Hehe, which is no where near Sydney. It's like going from California or New York to the middle of USA. But it would be an epic trip out there just to get the photo done haha.
  5. Hehe, no worries at all. When the armour is done, it will be more epic to have the Stormtrooper in front of the Opera House and Harbour bridge, both famous symbols of Sydney. I'll probably drag a fellow TK friend of mine, and maybe have my GF wear my scout and we'll stir-up Sydney one weekend.
  6. Oh joy, you put a picture up of MickFett (Michael Pylak), did you know he was kicked out of the Legion a few months back? (Don't ask why, it's a long story and it involves Legion Staff.)
  7. No Damian, I'm a ScoutTrooper/Officer who wants to be a Stormtrooper, so even though I webmaster this and several other detachments, I can't be God-like and remember all the little details of armor making from each site, my head would explode, I'm merely only a minor deity (LOL). This information is great, I appreciate the info and will definitely have a sit down and a good read. Much thanks Damian, I hope to build this armor and put some photos up when I'm done. Any suggestions for photos when it's done? possibly something with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge behind me (and maybe Nemo swimming in the water nearby? hehe)
  8. Coordinates of secret Imperial Webmaster's base sent via PM Terrell Thanks Mate
  9. Yeah, I can handle the assembling part, I've some got experience in that department, and it's usually preferable since I'm assured a good fit if I built it myself. As for the paint, what parts require painting? I've never been much of a painter. Great photoshopper though hehe Also I finished reading TE2.pdf file, it was quite informative, thanks for sending me that file, it really cleared up a lot of questions regarding it. You've got the magic and spark happening for me now
  10. Haha, I'm more like Marcus Brody, I get lost even in my own museum HAHA "Come Indy! I know the way!" :: Rides off sideways on a horse into the sunset :: Besides, I'm running around at the speed of light between detachment websites, I really don't have the time to sit down and read every post. I'm just making sure everything is going well so that everyone else can enjoy the sites. ______________________________________________________________________ Okay, after reading up your info Billhag, you're saying the TE2 is closer to accurate than other suits? (like FX for example) What about the imperfections (bumps, etc...)? Is it suitable for that shiny white, Death Star medicinal smooth perfection look? the TE2 helmet I have on display looks like it'd be more suitable for TD status than TK due to its rough bumpy-like surface. I want that light to go on, the spark to ignite my understanding of why TE2 is so awesome amongst my fellow TKs, so I can understand and say "WOW!" too.
  11. Hahaha, really? Guess that would make the Garrison love me even less. So educate this ignorant Officer/Scout/Webmaster on the background/history regarding the TE2 armor. Lay it all down for me. I know that the helmet is molded off one of the original TK helmets (I've got on the shelf nearby on display), but what of the armour? Why/what is it called TE2 as well?
  12. HAHAHAHAHA! So you're saying I'm gonna lose a few kilos by sweating it off in armour? I'm the sideplate? now I'm confused, what do you mean? And you're very much welcome Joey. Heck, you're ALL very welcome, I just want to help everyone, and make the detachments better, make it easier for new members to get armor, learn how to put it together and help the legion grow and I'm glad to see we're succeeding and doing very well. Some might say I love my Detachments more than my Garrison, but that's only a rumour hehe
  13. Hey My Awesome 501st Family, Paul told me to pop my head in here and have a word when I got the chance. I've been busy working on a new website for the Passport & Help Desk and the related Detachments called www.imperialhub.com. It's not complete yet, but soon will be. I wanted us to break away from piggybacking the Passport & Help Desk off the Clonetroopers.net site, it just looks more professional to have our own central website. I also wanted a name that was easy to remember for us troopers (nods to Centuri Chan for the cool name, thank you brother!). I'll be adding links to the passported detachments (that being FISD, BSN, CTN, MEPD, ACD, and the BHG.) but also add a courtesy link to the other detachments in the legion, even if they aren't part of our passport system. They're more than welcome to request me to set up a section for them on the help desk if they want it. Anywho, that's what I've been up to lately (besides upgrading my Garrison website as well). In response to your question HPDblues.. Well, I'm 5'9" (176cm), and weigh about 198lb (90kg), Size 10 1/2 (11 Aus) Ewok stompers, average build, not fat, not thin. Heck, does any of these photos help any? (besides scare children hehe) Don't think my belly is gonna get flatter anytime soon, but it hasn't gotten any fatter either. With Much Trooper Love
  14. I think the first time I saw armor was back in the states at a convention called "Shoreleave", It was Shoreleave 98 where I saw a couple of fellows walking around in TK gear and wearing officers caps kicking back at the Hotel's bar having some drinks. I was very impressed with their gear and the fact they wore their imperial caps, it just gave them some authenticity even when they weren't wearing their buckets (which happened to be on the table nearby). Heck, I even have a photo of these fellows. I wonder if they're 501st these days and if so, CAN THE REAL SLIM SHADY PLEASE STAND UP. I'm standing in the middle, my friend is on my right, and another friend Stacy Meyn (who's also 501st) is to my left. There is another TK elsewhere at the convention, but for this photo, only one is shown. I'm sure you folks will have a million things to say about the possible source/make of this armor. Some will ask what I'm wearing, if you don't know, I'm not gonna volunteer information regarding it, but the Imperial folks in the photo said we looked like we could have been Imperial Surgeons hehe.
  15. The insulin pump somehow gives me Jem'Hadar "Ketracel White" vibes from Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Well anyway, that's the problem with TK's hard to carry life's necessities, unless ya stick it in the detonator, and that's hard enough to grab from your back half the time. While Scouts and a few other armors have bloody pouches, it's not fair!
  16. Hi Gang, I apologize for the downtime there, our host has just upgraded our database software to the latest version, that meant they had to take down the old server and upload the upgrades for the new one. They usually try to do it at a time when there is low traffic, but being it's an international forum, when do we ever have a quiet moment? Anywho, that should be the last of the major updates for a while (I hope). You should be able to login to the forums without any issues now, but if there is one, please use the Help Desk. Thanks
  17. Greetings Gang, I'm sure some of you have been wondering lately about why the site goes dead from time to time and says something like SQL Error blah blah blah. Well apparently there was a problem with how big the database max storage was, for example, if we have 100megs max storage, and all the combined databases of different detachment sites and their forum's databases add up to more than 100megs, the Database server shuts down and crashes / or protects itself from overflowing, the downside to this is we lose access to the forum because of it. Anywho, the host has resolved this issue by pushing up the maximum database size to 2gigs, which is fairly large and should resolve any further SQL downtime. So lets hope that nips that issue in the bud.
  18. CloneTroopers.Net is OFFICIALLY BACK ONLINE!!! It's at about 99.5% readiness, there's probably a few bugs and issues to iron out while we're on the go which is easier to detect when we have users going about the place. Your help in catching them will be must appreciated. Okay, here's the deal with your accounts folks........AND READ CAREFULLY or I'll put my foot up all yer arses for not listening hehe. IF YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON www.ArmoredCavalry.Net, www.BikerScout.Net, or www.WhiteArmor.net, DO NOT LOGIN to CloneTroopers.Net to create a new account. You need to go to the Passport system as you already have an active account. You will need to go to http://passport.clonetroopers.net Login with your email address and password that you are already using to login to the above forums, then click the "CloneTroopers.Net" link, it will then regenerate a NEW CloneTroopers.Net account for you, and should ask you what username you want. Remember folks, that you CAN use capital letters (Proper name grammar remember?) If you've NEVER created a user account on ANY OF THE ABOVE forums, You should still go to the Passport page, it will be your central location for the four Detachment sites. After you're done signing up, you can click on any of the sites and it will generate your account for you. This way you can log on to all four sites with the exact same email and password. Remember, we have a Help Desk at help.clonetroopers.net that serves the four detachment sites, got any problems GO THERE, do not pester us with PM's or EMails. Members who had supporter status, please contact me (V'Pier) with details regarding your donation details, and I'll get your status back on track. Anywho, ON WITH THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Thanks Guys, I really appreciate that you love the new look, it puts a smile on my face to put one on yours
  20. Here's a revised version of the background image with the 501st Legion logo. I just dimmed the logo a bit so it wouldn't be so "IN YO' FACE" on your desktop. Enjoy my brothers and sisters
  21. Thanks Ed, always appreciate your kind words, keeps me goin'
  22. You're damn right about that one Chef, hehe sitting here for hours playing with html code and photoshop
  23. Thanks Terrell, I try my best I figured a bit of uniformity between the splash page and forum backgrounds would be good and give the place a fresh appearance. Also, there was always something bugging me about the way things looked here, so this sure makes things look HEAPS BETTER. I reckon it really emphasizes the might of the Stormtroopers.
  24. Okay, I've changed the link and edited ur post Scott as it seems out of place now. Enjoy the image and the new forum appearance.
  25. If you folks like the background image, then here it is in it's original darker form for your visual pleasure. (man that "it is in it's" part can really screw your head up good eh) Feel free to manipulate that image any which way you want
