  1. I would say its pretty much spot on really. make sure when you do glue, you leave for at least 72 hours to cure before you remove the clamps. Just to add too. the top return edge on the sniper plate needs trimming to follow the angles of the front edge. i'm sure if you have an armourer guiding you in your build it will probably be mentioned, that is if you have a current WIP ( work in progress ) set up?
  2. Hi There from Northamptonshire UK. Welcome to the FISD. See you on a troop.
  3. Congratulations. A superb paint job on that suit. Looks awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Welcome from the UK. Love the Capt Phasma costume. Will look forward to following your build. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. You’ll enjoy building a kit. I built my whole suit from a kit. Although I’ve already got experience from costume making before it was nothing like this. It’s the best feeling when you get that thumbs up for clearance. The armourers are brilliant and your going to get loads of support. Excited for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hi Charles, Welcome , like you I have a TK ANH . Good choice, the iconic example of the Stormtrooper. Good choice on the vendor RS Props too. I’ve only recently joined and will go on my first troop in September. Sure you won’t have any problems on clearance. RS do a really good job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Hi, Had the same problem with my shoulders too. You look quite slim like me. I reduced the length of the white webbing that connects the back piece to the chest. For mine I’ve only got a gap of 1 inch between them and it would pull both together giving a better shape. You’ll then find the elastics will generally stay in place better. 10. Hi everyone , My name is Colin and I’m 58 yrs old from Northamptonshire in the UK. I have just booked my first crew induction date after being approved for my TK ANH costume. My story started a long long time ago when the very first movie was released and was able to go and see it in the cinema in my youth. My interest in Starwars has been ongoing since then but really stepped up when about 2 years ago I became interested in making costume parts mainly in the Steampunk world. I then wanted to make a Stormtrooper suit for a friend which I really enjoyed doing. I then decided to make one for myself and the rest is history. I’ve enjoyed every minute of the build and found it incredibly therapeutic during a difficult period . Now the fun begins.
  11. Hi Rich, looking forward to bumping into you ( literally probably. Lol) at a troop in the not too distant future. Although I’m only 5’6 tall so I’ll look like your key ring standing next to you.
  12. Thanks Richard, It was your achievement in getting centurion status that encouraged me to go for it. So so chuffed. Look forward to getting the badge now on my shoulder bell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Colin Sefton TK19632 Centurion A4 TKSpartan Way to go, Colin! https://www.whitearmor.net/eib/certificates/19632-centurion.png Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. When requesting the centurion certificate do I state who passed my suit? In my case would it be TKSpartan? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Wow, What can I say but thank you so much for this. I’m incredibly proud to have reached this level of approval for my armour. I look forward to wearing it and representing the 501st UK Garrison at events. Thank you for all the advice from all that took part in this. 16. Hi everyone, Back to the subject. Thanks for your patience. Here are some new photos showing changes based on advice concerning my back/ kidney section joint sticking out and my helmet sitting too high. I have taken out all the padding in the top of the helmet and my head literally touches the inside of the plastic , can’t go any further. Hope it’s ok? Hand guard glued back on. Regards, Colin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I’m almost tempted to go and wake her up but I would like to get to my first troop alive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. No problem. It’s almost 11pm here in the Uk and my helper ( the wife/ photographer) is in bed . Zzzzz. so tomorrow I’ll suit up again. thanks, Regards, Colin
  19. Hi, thanks for spotting the hand guard coming unstuck. Just received some more E6000 in the post today and re- gluing it back on. Also I think I’ve resolved the helmet sitting too high. Just shout if photos are required? Regards, Colin
  20. Hi, Yes your right and the funny thing is I’ve put the helmet on before and it’s sat just right. I’m still trying to find a happy medium with the padding. You’ll laugh at this , I generally shave my head every two weeks and it fits beautifully and then when I have only a little bit of growth ( which at my age that’s to be thankful.Lol ) it gets a bit tight. I’ll carry on experimenting but I think in the photos for my EIB it looks about correct. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. One more photo that I left out showing rivet on right side of abs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
