Curious for all the reasons because the number one reason I hear from interested parties is, "Would be fun, but I'm spending that kind of money on a single costume." Granted that also seems to be the reason in general for any 501st costume. Bart
TIE reserve. That’s the reason. One of the most cost-effective ways to get into the Legion. But in reality I’m sure there are a myriad of reasons. Old guard TKs retiring, new TV shows bringing new fun kits in other detachments.

Greetings Eleanor! You’re certainly in the right place for all things stormtrooper related, and it’s cool to hear your story and see that you have a fem on the way! If you have any questions along the way while you build, don’t hesitate to post up here on the forum. I’m sure lots of troopers will come to your aid!

Welcome back, Adam! I can definitely related on the family obligations and such, and I too had an elongated journey to get to this point. I, too, have ATA armor, and really loved building it. Obviously you're not new to this hobby, having already previously built a TK, but here are some links that you may find helpful in your revisiting of research.
And here is my yet unfinished ATA thread that may still be of use to you.

And finally, as far as video tutorials are concerns, I really like the series that RS Props did, which contains far more information than what Mike from Trooperbay did. Here's a link to the RS video playlist.

Looking forward to seeing you complete your ATA kit!

Congrats James! It's great to see somebody take on the spot as FISD's most recent Centurion! Good company in our little sequence here too... Morgi at 521, myself at 522, and now you at 523!

GREAT to see your submission, James! Fantastic work on trimming the ends of your ABS belt to bring the angled cuts into alignment with your canvas belt, and good to see smoothed surface blaster too! You'll be our newest Centurion very soon!

Hello again Jay, and welcome to the TK-build journey! We all look forward to seeing you don that white armor for your grandson, and I'm so glad to see that some Legion members were able to visit him in the hospital.

I would laugh but it's true my F-11D build is now over 5 years long, and my SE-44C getting on for 6 and here I am thinking I should just start over on both!
We all have those projects. Mine just happened to be my entire first TK build.

Luca you would have killed it at the Detach meetup had you had those meme coins in hand. I mean, I'm sure you and Biggi and the rest of Chaos killed it anyway. =)
Chris - We accept your offering.

I might just take you up on that (any interest in an Excelsior or Nickel City coin), but let me try this first:
Haha nice. Gary - Send me a PM if Adam hasn't already hit you up.

This TK build was approved! TK-31701 reporting for duty! Thank you so much for everyone that helped me get this far (especially gmrhodes13 justjoseph63 TKSpartan for always responding to my questions incredibly quickly!)
Now, on to EIB!Congrats Alex, and welcome to the club! I know it's been a long journey for you! We'll certainly expect to see your EI application in the future!

Welcome, Jeff! I’m sure you’re getting very excited about BBB Day, and yours will be extra exciting I’m sure due to your commissioning of a custom suit. Glen has you on the right track with the thread he shared, and if you scroll to the bottom of the first post you’ll see the components that I ordered, which were pretty common ones. Hellhounds, who my rubber E-11 came from, isn’t currently in production, but there is a link to an E-11 vendor list on the aforementioned Resources Compilation thread. Darman (Bobby) makes a great washable neck-seal, found on Etsy or his own website, and there are several good options for helmet fans.
I suspect I speak for others when I say we look forward to seeing you complete your build, and perhaps eventually submit for L2 and L3!

Shots fired! So I'll just put a hold on the package going out to you with another meme coin?

Here's the Amazon link to the "official" speedo if anyone wants to grab one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G2THW89
I may have archived (hidden) that purchase on my Amazon account last week lest my wife wonder what the heck is going on with my silly stormtrooper friends, or worse.

[...] I think someday someone will make this real, even if it's just a con costume.
I mean, pink shorts guy already exists at cons. A little more minimalistic than that, but not outside the realm of possibility...

Indefinite hold on my EI app! Nooooo...
But in all seriousness, truthfully it is @TheRascalKing and TK-97253, TK-42077, TK-82077, TK-62345, and Casey Kwock (as Justin mentioned in his post above) who deserve credit for this joke. It was them that formulated the idea, and only after their completion of the CRL did Justin approach Luca and myself about implementation on FISD. Adam, Luca, and I only took it a step further with our own threads based on the CRL. So BIG THANKS to the SoCal Garrison troopers on the amazing concept! Luca, Adam, and I myself had an amazing time spinning off your vision and work!

New German trooper here

Welcome, Tristan! Awesome to see you’ve explored various Euro-based armor makers! If you want additional diversity, you could also try RWA from the UK, and then I think there are also some prominent makers in Spain and Germany too! I do still need to finish my own DA Props Hero helmet sometime.
I’m sure Luca will be around here soon to comment as well!
