  1. Looking awesome! For the 3D printed parts a good sanding should make those look smoother. About the imperfections in the shield itself, it probably won’t be a big deal, but if it bothers you, some Bondo filler would fix the imperfections, but you would have to repaint. Looking good though, can’t wait to see some BBB photos!
  2. Hey everyone, So unfortunately, the tracking number that was thought to be my armor turned out not to be. It was for an Amazon order. Oops. Turns out my kit hasn’t shipped yet. Also, on KB’s Facebook page, he posted that the master mold for the TFA helmet died so the TFA helmets are going to be delayed. Oh well, I’m hopeful that the armor will get here before The Rise of Skywalker premieres, and the helmet hopefully not long after.
  3. I agree Yeah, I like the idea as well of being able to go with and without the pauldron. That is if I get a pauldron
  4. I plan to use these ones that justjoseph63 linked in one of his threads. https://www.ebay.com/itm/6pcs-Super-Strong-Neodymium-Rare-earth-Magnet-Disc-for-sale-7-8-dia-x-1-8-thick/281060567507?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 P.S. Wow right as I started to type your name, Joseph, you commented on my thread! What a coincidence!
  5. He He! Shhh.... they suspect nothing Yeah, I'm very impressed by KB's wait times. Especially compared to the wait time for my OTTK, which was 5-6 months. For sure! Yes, I got a box of all the good stuff prepped for the build
  6. Hey everyone! So this morning, I received a tracking number for my armor, and it’s supposed to get here by the end of the week!
  7. No problem! Happy I could help
  8. Hey Peter, here is a great tutorial on how to post pictures using Imgur. About the thighs, if they rotate, you can glue foam on the inside. Some pictures will help as well
  9. No problem, always happy to help out! Also, the email has been sent
  10. Here are a couple more, using the same colors as the logo, just on the outer ring. Let me know if you would like any other colors. I can also do the font you mentioned earlier if you like
  11. I too could not find the right font, so I just changed it entirely. Here it is! I also sharpened up some of the details.
  12. Thank you, your TFA build thread has been a big help already
  13. Hey everyone! Small update: KB announced recently that kits will start to be shipped today! Fingers crossed that the BBB comes before the week is over And that is pretty much it. Until next time
  14. Thanks! I’m so excited! Thank you, I can’t wait to start!
  15. Thank you! Yes, I have already started looking at some threads, looking for where the return edge is and isn’t, also how the parts go together.
  16. Hey everyone! This is exciting! So, my birthday was yesterday, and my amazing parents gave me a First Order KB Props kit! (Thank you Mom and Dad) As you may have seen, I have been building an ANH TK for the past several months, and is now almost complete. Building the armor was one of the greatest experiences of all. For this build, I will be building the standard TFA Stormtrooper, although that may change in the future. (Pauldron or Riot Control Gear, as I have the Black Series Baton) Lets get into the specs: Helmet: KB Armor: KB Gaskets: Attempt to make myself before purchasing Gloves: Endor Finders Boots: sticking with my ANH ones for now, may change in the future The armor is set to arrive in less than 3 weeks, right around the release of The Rise of Skywalker. Get me even more hyped for the movie And that's about it so far I can't wait to start and to experience this journey with you all again. Until next time
  17. Agreed. The ears also appear to have the ANH bumps.
  18. Hey everyone! My goodness its been a long time, and unfortunately not as much progress as I would have hoped has happened. But little progress is still better than no progress, so lets get to it! First off, Nomex flight gloves for trooping arrived, and boy are they comfy. I also applied tube stripe stickers, which I will be switching out for hand painted ones soon. I realize how it looks so much better with the tube stripes. Also, about a month ago I went on a troop to a trunk or treat. Again super fun, but now I realize I have a glaring issue, and that is with the chestplate. It drops down way to low, but I have just installed the crotch rivet so I hope that it will pull the back down and the chest up. Also here a nice shot that I took of my helmet. And that is pretty much it, shoulder straps and belt buttons are next. Until next time
  19. New shot of the trooper and the speeder from a new TV spot. Looks pretty awesome!
  20. Purchased the skin this morning, it looks amazing! I noticed it’s the R1 stormtrooper looking at it closer. Glad to finally see Star Wars represented in the game.
  21. Hey everyone! I apologize for the long break, I fractured my collarbone and life got insanely busy for a couple weeks, but now I am back for another update. First off, my black Testors 1139 arrived, and I was able to paint the black details like the vocoder and the Hovi mic tips, as well as the black outlines around the gray. I'm quite happy with my paint job, but it could still use a little touch up. I also applied the S-trim, although there are a couple wrinkles in it. (Also you can see some blue tape in there holding the lenses in. Still figuring out a way to permanently attach them) Next, neck seal from Darman's Props arrived (thanks Justin for the link!). It is very comfy and looks great! Also, near my house there is a fair, and since I consider my armor "Halloween-Ready", I decided I'd take the armor for a quick test drive. (My brother came with me as Kylo Ren. Future 501st member? We shall see...) It was a huge hit, and I had 35-40 people ask to take pictures with me, and I was only there for about 40 minutes! I enjoyed most seeing the other people's reactions. I do need better gloves as I am using cheap costume gloves, but I will order those soon, probably Nomex flight gloves on Amazon. And that is pretty much it. Until next time
