  3. Thanks Paul. I have found myself hanging here more so than any Garrison or Legion board. You have put in alot to get it running. Thank you. And congrats to Ed, I have full faith in all his abilities. Boozel
  4. Unfortunatley no. It is hard with 2 small ones at home. Wish I was there though... Boozel
  5. BTW, the straps you see in mine are webbing, just the back straps are elastic. Glad you like, and very glad to help out ! Boozel
  6. no problem, glad I could help! Boozel
  7. Nice Brad, Looks great! as far as me ...TK all the way... Boozel
  8. ok here is what I came up with: measurements taked inside of armor and outside. with the outside I wrapped the tape to get the amount of "coverage" you would have. hope this helps. Boozel
  9. I have one similar also. this is how mine is: Ab clips thigh clips On the back of the thighs and back plate runs a piece of black elastic to keep my thighs fom turning and sitting croocked. Boozel
  10. Sorry guys, Real life got in the way of taking measurements last night. I will try again tonight. As far as what I have seen from RT vs FX, the ab plate is taller than the FX, and the chest is everso slightly shorter. with this combo, I believe Rob said he made it to fit a taller trooper. Also, Rt is bigger in some parts and smaller in others. The ab and back plate have more material on the sides to let them close, the chest and back are wider to give it the nonnarrow look, the thighs are the size of FX, but with a nice taper and "point at the top, the shins are wider at the knee due to the angles at the tops, plus a little larger alll around. Here are some pics of my RT beside some FX's at a walk for autism 2 weeks agao:
  11. Sorry RBJ, I just found this thread. I will measure my RT chest tonight if I get a chance, but I did take a comparison pics of all armor RT vs FX. The RT chest is shorter, but not by a ton. But, the width is what I like, not as skinny as FX, an more to true.(1st pic RT on left)) Let me know if ya need anyother pics. What I really like is the ab plate. It is longer, but also comes with enough material to cover the side gaps. (2nd pic RT on left) His armor from what he told me fit around 6'0" 230#.I believe that is his frame, and he made the molds from a cast off himself... But can be made to fit smaller.(like me...lol) Hope this helps. Boozel
  12. hijack for a moment...sorry true laspector, but you have to realize this bucket is about 50% smaller than an FX, and way smaller than an RT. round abouts it is about 1" shorter than a Rubies. Getting stripes to look anywhere near good is kinda tough. But I do appreciate the critique Hijack over.... I used Epoxy glue, but I split mine in half, and screw as many things in from the inside as I can to be more secure. As far as the end of the scope, I cut off the tip, cut out a circle of ABS, cut of a gel tip pen cap, glue of center. that is how I did my drop tip. Hope this helps and doesnt hinder. Boozel
  13. Take care Bernard, God bless. Boozel
  14. I looked, but cant seem to find the can of stuff, I have one more place to check. here are some pics of the blaster i built for my 4yo son. I am building him a set of armor, bucket and blaster are done, working on the rest. Boozel
  15. I have used the sci fire weathering on a couple, works great... I also found a new way to "paint" my last one. It is a rubber spray. it goes on flat black, has a slight texture, doesnt lose definition of the blaster itself, works REAL nice. I will try to find some pics tonight and get them posted, along with the name of the said spray... Boozel
  16. This is how I did mine: I ABS glued the nylon webbing right to the inside of the armor. I have yet to have any tear away. secure as all h*ll, and can takle quite a bit of tension. I put the clips where I normally had the snaps. I riveted the webbing to the clip. I ran it through the buckle on the clip, heated a nail, ran it through both parts of the webbing to sear it, and the dropped on a rivet and washer. check here to see where I put them: ----- Boozel
