  1. Good Idea Seth. I am planning on going the RT route seeing as I'm a "tad" big for the other stuff. (5'9" @ 185pds). Plus I am going to make a little (custom) adjustments to my fx Boozel
  2. I use an Under armor knock off called Aeroline fittness gear. I got it from my local Dunham's Sports store. It was around 12.00 for the shirt, and 19.00 for the pants. It has held up actually way better than I expected it to. Here is the link to their nationl site: Dunham"s Sports I just found out it is not available online...oh well. I will be making a trip soon to there to get another set. Hope that helps someone Boozel
  3. hmm, you know I thought about those before, I have a blue easton bag with my hockey equipt. in it...maybe I'll have to put the hockey stuff in the tub, and use the bag for the armor...lol nice find
  4. I have been waiting to see this since before I joined. I found the trailer while surfing one day, and it was one of the main reasons I joined the 501st. I cant make it to DC, so everyone who does has to keep this thread going to tell us poor souls how ithe preview was. Boozel
  5. I have painted all of mine. I found out that what it does is takes down on the shadow in bright light. I have a big head, and even in the FX,there was a ton of open space. I also found that I can "focus" better on outside things rather than constantly seeing a white border around my eyes looking out. .I recomend it, but like everyone said, it is a preferance to do it. 6. another way I found to trim off the pesky curves, best is it is only $0.29 take 4 pennies, hot glue them together flush. center a quarter on it and glue it also. use a razor knife blade, and let the tip hang alittle lower, or just the same depth as the quarter, and glue it. This will let you run the quarter along the edges, catching the curves, and score with the blade. it only takes off a quarter inch at a time, and you can keep the same curves as the original with out having to draw. just score it and snap, or retrace a couple of times and cut. 7. I agree with wcso. all wopuld be nice to have in the reference bank. I have some "skills"( at least I think so), I would be happy to help out on this. any way I can. Boozel
  8. I think this goes here seeing as I am talking about "blending " kits. I was wondering if a ANH size chest and back plate would work with FX armor. I dont have the money to buy the whole kit (the wife would kill me) but seeing as I could do this a little at a time, would the chest work with an FX? My new bucket is smaller, and I would like to match up the chest and especially the shoulder straps to the bucket. Would it look ok? I know it is slimmer and shorter, but I am only 5'9", so the height is not an issue. Please LMK what ya think. Boozel
  9. I painted my buttons awhile ago, cost me just the paint, and clear coat I had lying around. looks great and a VERY cheap but noticable mod. Boozel
  10. Couple of more: Correct AB plate button color. they were not black, they were Humbrel(sp?) grey and dark blue White webbing from belt to drop boxes Holster mounted under the belt not around. the belts were not fed through loops on the holster Boozel
  11. there is "trim" around the chest piece, and ab/cod Green Bubble lenses Ab plate buttons were black, and upside down compared to ANH version. Black frown some were rounded at the tips, and some were squared off they were 4 teeth, slightly "larger" than ANH. Blue tube stripes Blue'ish Hue to the decals on the bucket ie teardops, and trapazoids more so than ESB. Anh were grey. Hand plates were distinct The suits were(I hate to say the word) effectivly recast off of an ANH set for the movie, thus the loss of detail. Just some I found Boozel
  12. I think blue tube stripes should be mandatory, black just doesnt reflect what we see...my 2cents
