Hello Folks, My son had 3-D printed his own clone trooper helmet, but need to mount the range finder on the right side. The finder needs to stay upright at 12 o'lclock when not in use and down around 3 o'clock eye level when extended. Anyone have any suggestions on what parts to get or where to get them in order to lock the finder in these positions? Using an ordinary bolt and nut won't hold them in place as they will keep rotating around. Thanks.

Seams on the Denuo Novo TFA Kit
Vader's Wingman replied to Vader's Wingman's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Hello Fellow Builders! I'm trying to use and apply the slurry method for the chest and back pieces but this is becoming a lot more difficult that I had anticipated! After apply the slurry in thin layers, I am using 220 sandpaper but not making any progress with getting ABS to smooth down. How are you guys sanding down ABS on your armor? This is really getting frustrating for me as I'm going nowhere. Also I notice the slurry paste is not matching the color of my armor though I used scrap trim pieces from the same set. I'm trying to avoid using the bondo and painting method but may have to if I can't get this seam to disappear! Any suggestions on what to do? -

Thank you so much everyone for your help! -
Hello Fellow Builders, I'm working on a TFA Denuo Novo armor and have a few questions: 1.) Acetone- Is this the same whether I get this from Home Depot or from CVS in the nail polish section? The CVS version say "100% Acetone" so I don't know if there a different with using either one. 2.) Slurry paste- What is the ratio of abs scrap pieces to acetone mixture? What is the mixture texture quality supposed to look like?......toothpaste.?....thick gravy type?.....stiff putty? 3.) How long does it take for scrap abs and acetone to sit before it's ready? How long is the slurry good for after it's ready or does it need to be used right away as soon as the abs is melted? 4.) Am I supposed to fill in the seams in the yellow areas of the pictures attached to cover them up entirely or to use just enough to close out the gap when i glued the pieces together? I know there is not supposed to be any seams visible on the yolk/harness chest and back pieces assembly and the abdomen piece. Not sure about the other pieces. 5.) For those ammo boxes, do the seams need to be filled in or is it OK to have a slight gap? Thanks for your help!

Hello everyone, I am looking for a reasonably priced experienced commission builder for an Imperial Surplus FOTK that I am in the process of getting. I don't have the space in my apartment and the time to build one myself, so I am reaching out to others who might be able to. Please send me a message through White Armor. Thanks, Ted TK-6298

Does anyone have a visual installation guide for the ST strapping system from Imperial Boots? There were no instructions included that came with my order. Upon comparing the set that came with my Anovos ST kit, the one from Imperial Boots as fewer pieces. Not sure what goes where on my armor kit Thanks.

So for this 850 Armor yoke piece, I've been applying a thin layer of Bondo then sanded it down using 3M 220 paper. I've already done this 9 times. But I noticed that there is always a stress fracture crack when the armor is handled and I can't seem to get rid of them! I haven't painted yet but I'm wondering if it's the type of bondo that I am using or is something like this expected to happen? The Bondo that I'm using is "Glazing & Spot Putty". What other types of Bondo are builder's using? Once painted, I'm sure that the cracks will reappear again and I'm starting to get annoyed with the entire process! Anyone have any suggestions with this? Thanks.

I'm in the process of installing a pair of 2w mini speakers with the amp inside of my fiberglass helmet port openings. Any suggestions on how to cut down on the terrible feedback I'm getting when the volume is turned up? I tried placing foam insulation around the speakers and tried using 3 different types of head mics but not much improves. How else are builders doing this?

I came across a piece of ribbed material that I might be able to use to construct my own set of gaskets. Does anyone know how wide the spacing inbetween the ribs should be? Does the material need to be shiny like latex is or is semi-shiny cloth sufficient to use?

Hello Folks! Has anyone ordered and assembled their own gaskets from Imperial boots? Is this material and the details satisfactory to use? It says 8 gasket sheets should be able to complete a FOTK gasket system. Is the pic attached the actual piece received or is this something that was sewn and ready to go?
