  5. As long as the armour meets the requirements for the CRL you are working with you will be fine for 501st approval. What are you building? Pictures alway help yo provide guidance, however the best people to talk to are you local garrison/outpost. As their GML will be the person with the final say regarding approval. Recasting is frowned upon by the Legion as it is classed as stealing from the person who put in all the hard work and sometimes the quality of the armour is compromised and not as refined with some of the finer details lost. I'm not aware of the person you've mentioned or the circumstances around him being banned etc, so can't comment. It's great that you and your dad are spending time together, I loved putting together my armour, it's a great process. It can be frustrating at times, but also therapeutic. I'd suggest posting some pics, check the CRL and check in with your local GML. Good luck future Trooper. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

  9. Hi Thomas, do you have a gap on the other side as well. From the first pics it appears there could be some overlap, but that could be fixed, given the gap shown. As you've mentioned it's late where you are, so I'd suggest getting some tape tommorow, mock up the strapping and make sure everything is lined up before making a call. Don't rush into reshaping or trimming if it's not nesscary. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  10. Have you tried the armour pieces on? It's important to note that the strapping and your belt will pull in your armour around your body, so you may not need to reshape the pieces. The strapping will also help align the notches etc. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

  16. I can wear my glasses inside my bucket, getting it on and off is a challenge but doable. I also find wearing a balaclava helps as it keeps everything in place. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

  21. Welcome the FISD, looks like you've done plenty of research. In regards in fitting out your bucket this really is a personal preference. I have an aker amp, with wired in Mic and Icomm. I don't use the icomm that often and most people I interact with think the mic/amp combo makes me sound just fine. I don't have any fans installed (they are sitting on the to do pile) mainly because the climate here in Tassie hasn't prompted me to add them yet. I also have no issues hearing the public so haven't investigated the assisted hearing. As said a lot is personal preference, but I'd say choose a starting point, troop a few times and tweak as you go. Same as your armour. Good luck future Trooper Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

  24. You'll find lots of great info in the build threads of the forum, which can be found at the below link. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/6-anh-stunt-and-hero/&share_sfid=6&share_fid=44557&share_type=sf Once your kit arrives start your own build thread so you can post progress updates and any questions you may have. I look forward to following your progress and there are heaps of troopers here to help. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
