  1. Requesting EIB Certificate please. Eric Ripley TK-17529 Letter Dan Thank you in advance!!! You are welcome!! http://www.whitearmor.net/eib/certificates/17529-eib.png
  2. Thank you Dan!! Centurion app will be coming very soon for sure!! And noted on the suggestions, thank you! I've been trying to decide what to do with the appearance on the ab plate return edge, only because the return edge is the same depth compared to the kidney's return edge, it's just the ab return edge is at an upward angle instead of 90*. I may try to heat it and bend it down so it matches. Either way, I'll handle it soon! Thanks again!
  3. Just FYI, Walt (WTF) is running a 15% off Black Friday sale today on full kits only. I snagged a TIE kit.
  4. I'm sure you noticed but it's worth pointing out that it's for their regular TK kit, not the FOTK kit.
  5. Yeah, I had to warm the plastic to make it more pliable and then bend the metal strips inside. The elastic straps actually aren't strong enough to affect the reinforced bridges in any way.
  6. Thanks Matt! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! -------------------------------------- Something I noticed after I posted my application was that I had completely forgotten to bend my shoulder bridges down in the back, but I had not been able to fix that until today. So here are a few supplemental pictures (on my mannequin) showing that it's been done. I would have kitted up but I rushed all of this while my daughter is taking her nap. Hopefully that's ok for something like this.
  7. Hahaha! I'm on the skinny side but I work out, so I have the weirdest body type. Building this armor has made me realize that even more. lol
  8. This is sort of where I'm at with this preorder too. Lately I'm seeing more and more people report that they bought "in stock" items and they're still waiting for the items quite some time later, some up to two years later. Meanwhile Anovos continues to offer deeper & deeper discounts on "in stock" items. I'm starting to wonder if they're having cash flow problems but I try not to delve too far into assumptions/theories like that. I just hope we see our armor at some point.
  9. Thanks a bunch!! Mark, I appreciate the suggestion! And I almost did that when I first built the biceps as I saw you suggest it to someone else too, but I'm glad I tried it this way first. When I'm holding a blaster two-handed and one arm is bent, they get pretty tight around the top of the bent arm. I'm not sure I want to make them any smaller as I stand and walk like that a lot.
  10. Thanks Joseph! Can't wait! The thing about building the TD, I was excited to finally work on something that was mostly symmetrical. Haha!
  11. My father's brothers' nephew's cousin's former roommate ordered one of these kits, he was pretty happy:
  12. Boots: TK Boots are always recommended, but they have a limited selection of sizes and no plans to produce more. So the fall back is Imperial Boots which are really good boots too. They are currently taking orders until tomorrow (the 17th), they take orders and produce items in waves, so you'll usually get your boots within about a month. Neck Seal: I used Darman's Props (very satisfied), but Geeky Pink's are also highly recommended (check them out in the Ongoing Sales section of this forum). Black Undersuit: You can go a couple ways here, a one piece suit or two piece compression set (think UnderArmor). You just want to make sure it has no logos that are visible when you have the armor on over it. Your favorite sporting goods store or Amazon is your friend if you decide to go with a separate shirt/pants setup.
  13. AP is good stuff! Mark (his screenname here is @ABS80) has a current sale thread listed in the For Sale section here: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/45623-ap-trooper-kits-discount-offer/ Quite a few of us recently finished building AP kits, they are very good quality and you will not be disappointed if you go that route.
  14. Thank you very much! I'm hoping the strapping lasts a long time. And I love magnets, after borrowing Cricket's idea for the shins I was hunting other places to use them. lol Thank you sir! And for all your help and input too! Haha! You're going to get EIB for sure Matt! But thanks a bunch! If you look really closely in the first two pictures you'll see me holding a remote for the camera in my right hand. Haha! Some of the shots turned out like this (stormtrooper aim and all that):

  16. So the base underneath all that is a retired Ford bus (you can sort of see it over the Jawa's shoulder in the picture above). I don't quite remember what they're made of but the panels are attached to the bus via a metal framework system and are removable and all fit inside the bus itself. It's amazing to see in person!!
  17. The Velcro option works great for a lot of people, but like Cricket I have also handled and fixed a fair amount of shins that popped open during troops (floppy thigh ammo packs are a close second). I've also seen a fair amount of photos posted publicly where the closure has noticeably failed. I will say that if you at least properly align the backs of your shins and/or give them a hot bath so that the Velcro isn't being strained you shouldn't have any issues. Most of the failures I've noted in person is when the back halves of the shins are naturally pulling away from each other. That said, I'll echo the comments that the magnet closures are basically fire and forget, no assistance needed, no worries of them coming open, and you know they'll look just how you intended them to without any extra effort. And there's just something about them clicking shut around your leg that's kinda fun.
  18. Ah. Yeah, both of these are on the return edge too, just up towards the front instead of the back. I thought about doing something similar to what you did but I'm going to try to keep the edges for now. I'll drill a small hole at the terminus of each crack, reinforce underneath, and fill. May add some reinforcements on the opposing sides too. Haha! I get how it is with small projects, or any projects for that matter. I got so caught up with trooping I haven't had much time for anything else, I'm enjoying it so much. You'll get EIB and Centurion too!
  19. Congrats! You did an amazing job on this build, and so quickly too.
  20. Troop #: 5 Date: October 28, 2018 Location: Zoo Atlanta Event: Boo At The Zoo Event Charity: N/A We had amazing weather for this event, considering it had been cold and raining in the days leading up to this event, so the turnout was awesome. The Great Jawa Horde was out in force and Sandy the Sandcrawler even made an appearance. I attempted to protect my Garrison mates and take out a zombie, but you know how that goes... --------------------------------------------------------- Troop #: 6 Date: October 30, 2018 Location: Coweta County Central Library Event: Coweta County Library - Star Wars Reads Event Charity: N/A This was a smaller event helping to support family and literacy programs at one of the local libraries. The turnout was still great and the kids really enjoyed our presence! Might be worth a watch: Curse you Han Solo!!! I am wiped out!
