Yea tell me about it! I've been trying to argue that logic. They explained it like this; https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38187-rogue-one-stormtrooper-crl/?do=findComment&comment=575193 Basically MEPD was originally supposed to take all the "deployed" versions of Stormtroopers (ie. anything with a pauldron or pack; HWT, ect) But they wanted to stay focused on the Tatooine Sandtroopers hence the detachment name Mos Eisley Police Dept. The detachment is now broadening their horizons and accepting the initial intent to host other "deployed" troopers aside from the just the Sandtrooper. Though I really feel the detachment will now need a major name change as most of the costumes they will be getting are never seen anywhere near Tatooine or Mos Eisley for that matter!

If anybody was meant to have that MGC Sterling it's you Chris! This will be the beginning of another amazing blaster kit, and the whole entire community will benefit from that project!

Yes, we already have an R1 E-11 Sub-forum which this thread has now been moved to, I personally started it off myself. Furthermore I was the one put in charge of writing and creating the Official FISD Rogue One Blaster Reference thread here:https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41271-rogue-one-e-11-blaster-reference/ So we do in fact already have "a database recording it all somewhere". I'm not sure what "info is too valuable to lose" in this thread but it's already been covered extensively in my Official FISD ROGUE ONE E-11 BLASTER REFERENCE
-
Paul, below you will see the listing I had wrote up a while back. Please read and acknowledge. As I have been saying for months since the film was released; the Rogue One E-11 is not based off a real Sterling Sub-Machine Gun, it's based off an S&T airsoft gun among many other differences listed in the Official FISD Rogue One E-11 Blaster Reference thread that I was put in charge of:https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41271-rogue-one-e-11-blaster-reference/ Please use the requirement listing that I worked on writing below for the R1 Stormtrooper E-11 Optional Accessory.
-
It's not even about the Reference Thread, that was just something I did to help other builders make their blasters more accurate. I'm more concerned about my requirement listing for the E-11 Option Accessory, as the current listing is copied from the ANH CRL. That's completely incorrect and utterly inaccurate in every way possible! Here's what it should say, at least for level 3! Rogue One E-11 Blaster Rifle -Blaster shall be based on a real or replica S&T Sterling L2A1 AEG airsoft gun. -Scope shall be a real or replica M.H.R. (Minneapolis Honeywell Regulator Co.) M38 Telescope. 1943 version with the wide front foot is preferred. -Counter shall be a real or replica Hengstler 400 Series Counter. Small eagle logo is preferred. -Power Cylinders shall be mounted on top of the magazine well. R1 style power cylinders are preferred over ANH style. -6 rows of T-Tracks cover the Sterling receiver holes except for the lower left row with the bayonet lug. -Scope Rail is mounted approximately 3/4" above the top of the blaster. -A flashlight shall be mounted to the right side of the blaster over the T-tracks. Flashlight is a real or replica Element M300A Mini Scout Light. If you need any more information on the Rogue One E-11 or any of it's individual components read this:https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41271-rogue-one-e-11-blaster-reference/

That's NOT my concern! I am working to try and contribute something and it's just not being used. Seems like a huge waste of effort, that's my concern. I don't care about any form of credit on the CRL..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Am I Invisible? I spent much of my time and put effort towards this CRL but nobody seems to acknowledge that I exist? I wrote up this list for the CRL E-11 Optional Accessory and put it forward a while back, and I even spent much time making the Official FISD Rogue One E-11 Blaster Reference Guide thread here:https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41271-rogue-one-e-11-blaster-reference/ But nobody seems to care about what I've tried to contribute at all. Could somebody please acknowledge my existence?... I've been trying to help make a contribution to this CRL but it seems like nobody wants my help at all apparently. I was going to try and get royalty free photos of a proper Rogue One E-11 with all the correct greeblies too. Oh well I guess our detachment wants to go with a generic ANH photo and description, which is completely and utterly inaccurate. Especially compared to the rest of the CRL. I've put all this effort towards this particular CRL Optional Accessory and it's sad to see none of it put forward, just a simple copy and paste from the ANH CRL,.. no effort whatsoever, and it shows too. Anyways here's the list I wrote again, perhaps for level 3: Rogue One E-11 Blaster Rifle -Blaster shall be based on a real or replica S&T Sterling L2A1 AEG airsoft gun. And here's the official FISD Rogue One E-11 Blaster Reference guide thread that I was requested to make and put in charge of writing: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41271-rogue-one-e-11-blaster-reference/

Here's a couple, these are both the same flashlight but one is $5 cheaper. https://www.evike.com/products/48208/ https://www.evike.com/products/59452/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Actually that's not the correct flashlight, the screen used flashlight is the Element model M300A, not the M300B. It's all written in my Rogue One E-11 Blaster Reference thread here;http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41271-rogue-one-e-11-blaster-reference/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, That's the plan. This kit will be designed to install electronics inside for lights and sound. Oh yes, these will be so much lighter than a real steel Sterling with a vintage brass Honeywell telescope, and vintage Hengstler counter. Yet they will be metal and incredibly accurate to the real thing right down to the last dimension.
-
Everything will function as it does on a real Sterling aside from the ability to fire live rounds! The Mag Release will allow you to remove and re-insert the magazine which will be great for a battery compartment, The Trigger will function with an electronic momentary switch, The Selector Switch will function as a three position switch just like the real thing, The cocking handle will function as an additional switch complete with an accurate bolt and spring replica inside, The folding stock will be fully functional complete with a removable Rear End Cap just like the real thing. This blaster kit is sure to impress! It will definitely bring any Stormtrooper costume up a few notches and all your fellow troopers will be jealous of your E-11.

Well I guess it's no use, Apparently now that we've done all the leg work and research on this pack here on FISD it's being given away to MEPD. We know now that it's clearly a Stormtrooper pack, not a Sandtrooper pack. So I had high hopes like many others that standard TKs would finally have a BackPack as an optional accessory, but I guess not. Both this "Crystal Patrol Duty Pack" and the other "Sandtrooper Type 4 Fieldpack" from Rogue One are going to MEPD, I was told that FISD was getting this one but apparently now we're not. I'm not even sure why they call it MEPD anymore, most of the listed costumes are never seen anywhere in Mos Eisley. I think it's high time that detachment changed their name in my opinion.
-
I know it wasn't in the film but in addition to the Visual Guide the costume display at Star Wars Celebration was very clean too. Even though it's a Stormtrooper Pack and NOT a Sandtrooper pack, and even though we did all the legwork and research for it here on FISD, I'm not opposed to the pack being in another detachment. However If it's going to be MEPD getting all these new costumes then they desperately need a new name as the detachment is so much more than just Sandtroopers now! None of those characters aside from them are ever seen anywhere near Mos Eisley, or even Tatooine for that matter! The MEPD title does not adequately represent or encompass their detachment's broad range of costumes any longer.

What is referred to as the "Jedha Trooper" is only ever seen on an action figure package. Only one specific action figure to be exact. A toy figurine is hardly a better reference than a fully illustrated officially published visual guide in my opinion. What I mean is Lucasfilm calls it a "Visual Guide" for a reason, If anything I would follow that as reference over a toy. I understand the reasoning behind it, and yes some of the troopers wearing the pack & pauldron happen to be somewhat dusty being deployed on Jedha but on the other hand we also see plenty of clean white TKs on Jedha too, some of them wearing the pack & pauldron. This pack is also seen on Stormtroopers on other planets as well, it's first seen in the movie very early on at the "Kafrene Trading Outpost", but more heavily featured on Jedha. But even so these troopers appear to be clean just like all the other stormtroopers they're seen standing with.
-
What? That doesn't make any sense? I thought It had already been decided that the "Crystal Patrol Duty Pack" belongs to FISD while the "Sandtrooper Type 4 Fieldpack" belongs to MEPD. Each detachment was supposed to get a new pack for Rogue One I thought? Also according to the official Rogue One Visual Guide the Crystal Patrol Duty Pack is issued to "Standard Stormtroopers" as you can see in the paragraph below. And here is the "Sandtrooper Type 4 Fieldpack" that MEPD is getting. I'm not sure if this is the thread you're talking about?: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?/topic/14846-rogue-one-jehda-patrols-are-sandtroopers/&do=findComment&comment=195638

I can get photos of the Rogue One E-11 Blaster (both sides). I'm building using with all original found parts as seen in the FISD Blaster Reference that I wrote: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41271-rogue-one-e-11-blaster-reference/ In addition to the E-11 Blaster I can supply photos of my Crystal Patrol Duty Backpack (front & back) built using all Original Found Parts as seen in the reference thread found here on this forum which I also helped contribute to. I will submit the requirement listings that I have been working on for the Rogue One E-11 Blaster and the Crystal Patrol Duty Backpack in the following posts. Please let me know where I need to send the photos of the blaster and the blackpack.

Those machined counter chassis look perfect! I can only imagine the cast ones will be super accurate, looking forward to that. This project is really coming together now. It will really be something to see this through from the beginning! This kit will be legendary in the community, and it will be unrivaled in terms of accuracy from any other commercially available E-11 blaster kit.

Yes, I have a set of these and they are exactly 2-2/16" long. You can also get this rail from Green Blob Outdoors; https://greenbloboutdoors.com/collections/rails/products/pair-of-black-3-slots-polymer-rail-sections-for-handguards
