  1. Cheers Eric - it's been an absolute stellar ride and can't wait to see your armor done. Thank-you for all your help and remember the door is always open here if you need anything (fist bump)
  2. I really appreciate it to no end - I would be lost if I didn't have my vetted troopers helping
  3. Thanks greatly mate - I really appreciate it! Velcro just seems to make more sense for trooping
  4. So this is where my conflict of interest comes into play. While I believe in being 100% accurate as possible on the outside my mechanical side wants to kick in gear for the inside. My reason why is due to the reality that the internal brackets used were meant for screen use and only to be worn for short periods. From my understanding of the stories out there trooping is no less than an hour at a time. Because I'm a burly individual and not as nimble as I used to be I need to use snap plates. I know with my "ogre-ish" disposition I would be snapping plastic and brackets in seconds. As for the decision on Velcro or hooks on my calves I can't say yet. The extra brownie points may pay off - however I'm torn as hooks can bust and Velcro is visible. I'm kinda leaning towards the hooks Hmm...choices, choices, choices... What are your trooping experiences out there between hooks and Velcro?
  5. Take them to a local shoe maker and they will be able to stretch them for you
  6. Ya I'm not a big fan of the hooks either but it must be done - actually I'm going to check about Velcro on the other Centurion applications to see if it's approvable as there's nothing on the CRL about it.
  7. I'm just checking in advance as I haven't sized yet. Just want to be ready if my big mitts don't fit through lol
  8. Oober thanks - I will start assembly on biceps and forearms tonight! Quick question: It's the inside seam that we put the Velcro on for the forearms using butt joint method - correct?
  9. Second, Ab plate - The CRL picture shows the button strip really square, and I have in turn done the same. However, the corners after sanding are still really sharp and has become a safety concern of mine. Anyone know how far we can round down the corners before it becomes unacceptable?
  10. Really appreciate it mate - thank-you
  11. First up for inspection my friends - Helmet Are the teeth square enough? Have I cut my returns down enough in the eyes? And many thanks in advance for your extra eyes and honest opinions - it will help ensure I achieve Centurion
  12. Thanks kindly! I haven't gotten that far yet so it's an awesome heads up. Cheers!
  13. I'm curious, why did you choose to paint over using the decals? I still haven't decided on whether I'm going to use them myself.
  14. Here you go: First-timer AP Armor Build Thread http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/27936-First-timer-AP-Armor-Build-Thread Near the end of the thread
  15. Great work!
  16. There is sometimes runs by other troopers up here but they are rare. We just have to wait for them - I wholeheartedly sympathize with you when it comes to our import laws. Regrettably there is no other sellers online that I'm aware of- sorry mate.
