AB plate - ready for assembly. I used some q-tips to remove any excess E-6000, and for my first time using it I love the stuff! Didn't stink that bad at all too. After the excess was removed I then used some white Testors paint to paint the seam. I cleaned off the excess paint with a few more q-tips and some spit. Here's the end result and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. -

It's normal to be nervous! What I like to remind myself with is the memory of first walking into the FISD and the information overload. Seeing our legends of the FISD making these amazing tutorials, reading up on what seemed like a limitless amount of details. Yes it's hard to digest at first but as with all things when you work at them, you then begin to get more comfortable and confident. Just think of all the troopers before the FISD existed. We can and will do this - Feel the power of the FISD! -

I checked in with the powers that be prior to ensure that it wouldn't hinder me from getting Centurion. This is ok as long as it covers the gap in the back. The plate sits nice and flush. [emoji106][emoji41] Cheers mate - I always appreciate it (fist bump)! -

Hiccups happen and I concur with the guys - breaks help to give new perspective and a refreshed approach. I believe you're pushing yourself too hard. We all can be our own worst critics at times. This is all very new and hard to digest, on top of excitement, a high level build, the desire to troop and life outside of Storm Troopers but you can do this! As for your size, yes I just went there, don't let it stop you from seeing that one precious moment when your boy will look up at you in awe when you first don your armor. He doesn't care about the little details or how things are supposed to look. He just sees his Dad is now his own personal Stormtrooper - how many kids have their Dad as an action figure? Whatever path you follow brother I always got your six - always - Don't make me go play your drums. -
Awesome job!

Measured my rivet heads after Knock noticed from one of the other recruits that they seem a bit large. All of my rivets are 1.5mm too big for Centurion - time for my backup plan or I should say Trooper lol. Cheers Joseph and here's the link for my correction to this little problem. E-6000 is on! I have also stacked 5 - 3/4" and 10 - 3/8" rare earth magnets on both sides as added insurance that it doesn't move. -

AB Button Plate - test dry run is a success - here's the strategy: First I centered the plate over the underlying gap and used a pencil to lightly trace out the sides. I then taped the plate to help hold it's position and then secured it in place with some clamps and a meter stick using only as much pressure to hold the plate tight to the ab armor. Now to go second round with E-6000... (guttural)Ohhh yeeahhh in a Tim the Toolman fashion followed by "Uh..O...o" lol -

You know it's a difficult build when even the vetted builders say it's hard. I'm gonna wait to hopefully get mine from the licensed vendor after all the vet's work out the kinks. -
Congratulations!!!!

The only thing I noticed on the holster was that my blaster did not go in all the way so I can't close the clasp. It also catches on my power cylinders. Just a heads up friends [emoji6] -

In the middle somewhere attached with duct tape (just joking). I have to get replacement brown straps as well - good news is that the straps are just held on with Chicago screws - and yet another mod lol -

Many thanks mates! Only one more mod to be done to that notch but I have to size first to see if it's required. Racing to try and get my work day done early lol.
