  1. Well up till 1am trimming last night lol - first forearm guard. I left a small amount of return edge at the wrist to help cover the dimple in behind as I thought it would look funny if exposed.
  2. Thanks Mark - I was just penciling them in on mine just as you posted lol
  3. Right then, moving on - the sniper knee plate. These are the back corners that I received which had me concerned earlier. They had to be squared edges so I drew lines to square them up taking off a little as I had to. After
  4. I always have a plan (I've had months to think it out lol) And a lot of threads and PM's too
  5. And they passed for Centurion too[emoji106]
  6. Thanks mate - you brought up a valid point. When I checked other Centurion requests you can see an outer edge but as always I go back to the 501st CRL. Possibly it's there due to variation on molds to cover the gap and the ability to go Sand Trooper with the armor. No biggie if I have to fix later - I love adapting and over-coming it's in me blood lol
  7. Stylin'n'profiling fellow trooper in training - absolute mint job on that armor transport!
  8. This is my ab button detail "dry fit" compared to the CRL photo for ANH Hero - as we were discussing ealier and why I cut my ab buttons the way that I did (which was simply that I wanted to replicate whats in the CRL image) CRL for ANH Hero Ab plate - http://databank.501st.com/databank/File:TK_anh_stunt_ab.jpeg
  9. Many thanks to all for your support and comments - all are greatly appreciated!
  10. Just remember brother, we are our own worst critiques - and don't let all the little details take away from enjoying your build - almost everything is fixable. Let's go practice karate in the garage again lol
  11. I was going off the picture from the CRL and didn't see a lip in the picture but ya totally correctable if need be.
  12. My paste took longer cause I didn't chop mine up fine enough lol it was still really lumpy and wanted it liquid like.
  13. Stellar work on that notch! Knew you could do it all along [emoji106]
  14. Here's some more trimming... There is no such thing as garbage sir!
  15. Heavy Bic's pickle jar - do it in a highly ventilated area and when mixing over the days. While closed the jar builds a small amount of pressure inside the jar from the chemical reaction that will waft out fumes. Just a heads up!
  16. Now the work isn't done, but has to wait for now as I need to get some finer grit sand paper to complete the finishing touches and a hit of Novus polish.
  17. I used approx 1 to 1-1/2 ratio Acetone to ABS scraps. The paste took about 2-1/2 days to reach a nice liquid consistency. I stirred the mixture twice a day during this time wiping the stir stick on a rag to act as tests then checking on how much time it took to dry and what the dried result looked like. I ended up adding a little more abs to make the paste similar to the consistency carpenter's glue and it took about 5 min to become pliable, and dried in approximately 15 min. While it was applied to my teeth I used the back side of my fingernail to smooth out the paste and remove extra. Once set, I started gently filing area and... well take a look - stuff is magic freakin force superstitious stuff.
