There was a recent question that asked how to remove split rivets and thought I would share my method, as well as encourage other troopers to post their methods here as well in order to help others that need to tackle this problem. Tools: - Diagonal Cutters "Side Cutters" - Needle Nose pliers or standard pliers depending on the application I prefer using the Diagonal Cutters / "Side Cutters" as the edges of the cutters catch the tails of the rivet without damaging your armor. Using the cutters, squeeze the tails together. Then use pliers to straighten the tails out for removal Good luck Troopers, and many thanks in advance to those who post their methods here. Pyrates replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
FYI - for those that choose to take the path of the refund... Please ensure that you start a case file with the CSR. You will require that case file number to complete your Refund Request Form, as well as your order number: Ie. #ANOVOS - _ _ _ _ _ Refunds a month ago, take 12-15 days to process just as a heads up Troopers. Yes, you don't use them to cut the rivets - just to squeeze the tails together [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A set of needle nose pliers or wire cutter and a small screw driver can be used. First lift the tails of the rivet using the screw driver to the position where you can use the needle nose/ cutters to finish squeezing the tails to their original form. We have a few vetted makers of neck deals in our Imperial Commissary section - There's Veedox, Darman's, Geeky Pink's, and don't quote me but I believe Imperial Gaskets also does Neck seals that will do the trick. That Etsy one looks like it doesn't breathe very well. The decision is ultimately up to you mate [emoji16][emoji106]

I agree with Paul. Yes, on occasion Troopers will have to take it on the chin, however this is why you should travel in twos or as a section/squad. I'm lucky that I stand 6'2" in my armor, and like to come to my shorter Troopers defense with responses like: "And your the perfect size to be thrown in a cell block rebel scum" Or walk up behind them while they're addressing their "too short for a Stormtrooper" comment, and say "Yes, but I'm not - now move along civilian" If there's kids around then I give the " I got my eyes on you" gesture, which usually gets them laughing. The best part of Stormtrooper armor is that it's the image already looks intimidating so if you simply just stare at them saying nothing to them after their comment, then they start to get confused and walk away (make sure to maintain staring at them as they do so, as others watching will sometimes start to laugh at them for being cheesy.) Have a great time out there Trooper and good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

My fingers are crossed for those in wait, and hope that they do start shipping at the end of their "Fall" Quarter. The best suggestion I have is to not get your hopes up until you receive your shipping notice. Salute Troopers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
This...build...is EPIC!!! [emoji869][emoji23] The attention to detail is rocking Brittany - and just an absolutely awesome build thread moving along here - totally subscribed!!!

I went very unconventional with my strapping system, the reason I went this way is because I wanted a strapping system that helped to maintain the Centurion image with minimal repair and less chance of wardrobe malfunctions. The original armour was used for very small intervals of shooting, while we troop in this stuff for very long durations. What you choose to do on the inside is completely your decision- there's no right or wrong method just as long as you stay together [emoji6][emoji106]

It's best to get some help if you can when figuring out how much of the kidney plate extensions (lengthwise) with the Ab plate. I'm with magni, if you go with the traditional bracket system more is better so you can reinforce the return edge with scrap abs to help prevent breakage. If you're going with the snap system 1/8" should be good [emoji106] Don't forget to leave approximately 1/2" space between your body and the armour. Keep up the stellar work!!!
