  1. I used the same one in this tutorial I did a while back, scroll to about 1:43 in and you'll see it. http://youtu.be/n1zeqNW11hw
  2. I finished the last of the major trimming and sanding tonight... Next I'll be drilling, glueing, clamping and strapping it all together. Although I have yet to cut my strips... I still need to find measurements on all those, I know I've seen them on here somewhere. Today I also ordered a lot of stud style snaps for my belt/ab plate... The originals were 13mm, the ones I ordered were 12.5mm and look pretty darn close. I should have extras if anyone needs them? I also ordered my brackets from R2Dan the other day, he had some left over from a run he did for RS Props... So I snatched those up. Happy I don't have to do those myself! Ewww! Photos to come ...
  3. Thanks Martin! I also have the leg pieces trimmed around their openings... and I'm trimming all the small parts now, plates, belts, buttons etc. One thing I noticed were the rivet covers are a tad large, compared to the LFL Archive Photos. The round button should be about 1/4" smaller than the ones that came with the kit. So I may have to make a set of my own. Just have to purchase some ABS sheets... Which RS Props has offered up. I think I may have to do one of my own detonator kits (in ABS) as well... just prefer the look of mine I guess.
  4. More trimming in between making parts today... I use one of these to erase pencil marks... doesn't leave any residue like a magic eraser does.
  5. Yes, I will be using brackets ... the photos that I've seen shows the screws in the corner of the return edge (front and back). I noticed on the original RS back plates... they were mounted completely off the return edge. But it looks like it was a repair made later on, as you can see a second set of holes in every case... I also noticed that they look more like pop rivets than screws.
  6. Started working on the torso ... As always, I marked my trim lines with a pencil before trimming. This time I used my belt sander for trimming, and it was a breeze.
  7. Did you happen to order any of their soft parts as well? I ordered a belt which is still on the way. Just wondering how it looks.
  8. Pbbbtt! Well, it was good of you... at least in the end. Jess
  9. Glad your'e happy with it! Seeing that box... I feel like I sent my 1st born off to College or something like that. LOL!
  10. "In my experience, there's no such thing as LUCK!" .
  11. And why would I want to do that? Just curious. .
