Just a couple more tweeks for this trooper. I'm shooting for sometime in the next couple weeks, after finals to get my updated submission in.

Nah, it's all good. I peeked at the base standards the other day, so I was expecting the white straps for the drop boxes. Boots, not a problem; I've probably got a shot of me wearing 'em around somewhere. And the other details, well, they shouldn't be too terribly difficult to correct. Well all need to meet the requirements for elite status... why else would we be applying for it? Just one question... What does the standards mean when it says paint can't touch the lips. I'm a little confused on that point.

During the rhinoplasty: And post-rhinoplasty: So how's it look? Should I scurry off to clean the latrines? Or is there still Wookiee hair clogging the drain in the garbage compactor?

Amen, brother! Not that being in my thirties is bad; I'm enjoying myself more now then when I was in my teens. But my how time flies...

It comes across as rude to me. Why keep prying when your potential customer isn't willing to discuss what the merchandise is for? Seems like if you don't wanna discuss it, it's not their business. Talk about driving sales down! lol

Everything but the greaves is glued together on my kit. But then again, I'm a little on the thin side, so I can get away with it. I'd recommend trying everything on first just to make sure you can get away w/ gluing stuff together (like the thighs, biceps and so on). If you glue things together, and then find out after that you can't get into it, it's a little late to change your mind. In the end though, it really just depends on what body type you have, and whether you want to allow for, um, expansion, shall we say?

The bucket, redux. Although it looked all right to me by the dawn's early light when I was running on fumes, now that I look at it after some much needed shut-eye, I fear that it might not be up to snuff. But I submit the bucket w/ eight teeth for your consideration...

I wondered if I was missing some kind of trick to getting photos up (it was at the end of a looooong day when I attempted to set up photos last night). Fair enough, and thanks for the tip Scott. Hey, just a bit of an update. I sewed some elastic onto the tabs that are attached to the boots. Put snaps on the extended tabs, and a corresponding pair of snaps inside the shin pieces just before our local Boo at the Zoo event. Worked like a charm! I was running up and down stairs, and leaning down to say hi to the kiddies with nary a problem. If you're having trouble with this kind of problem, look into this solution. Totally worth the 5 minutes of time it takes to set it up!

Gives the bucket character, and hey, if you need an excuse to go TD, well, you've got a good start.

Unlike droids, which line up and march at you in nice, regimented lines, Rebels and Ewoks don't. Just my .02 cents worth...

Armor party this afternoon... Lasagne for lunch, unless the BBQ gets fired up. Then it's burgers/brats/hotdogs. Oh, and a virtual cornucopia of junk food!

Just be yourself. That's the most important thing. If people can't accept you for who you are, if they force you to change to fit their expectations, then you're better off without those type of ppl in your life. I was like you once upon a time; always trying to fit in and so on. Not a real happy time, as I'm sure you know. But once I found a circle of friends who accepted one another w/ out any hesitation, life got a lot better. In short, it's better to make you happy, rather than everyone else.

I modded my thermal detonator on my TK so that the end caps are removeable, and plan on doing the same thing w/ my TS. I can stash phone, keys and dl/cc in there should I so desire, although if there's a secure changing area, I just leave that kind of thing in my tub.

That's what I ended up doing. Sewed an elastic strap to the tabs on the boot so that I have just a little give. After my upcoming troop, I'll have a good idea if it worked!
