  1. I purchased a full commission from RS back in August. I had issues with it and, like Wesley, didn't get much response from them when it comes to communication, but I did purchase a DLT-19 from them for under $300. I really love it. I added weathering to it but came fully black. It's a heavy sucker as well. --------- Hope that helps.
  2. Click the link and read through the post. It talks about sites to avoid and vetted makers that can be trusted. Very good information on where to look for good armor. When I was looking to purchase mine, I also made the mistake from buying a bad set, until I looked at that post.
  3. Very nice work and looks great!
  4. Read this thread.... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ Originalstormtrooper.com in not a good site and the armor will need lots of work to get approval.
  5. I've had the same experience with them as well. Very little communication. It does get frustrating but also be patient. Hopefully they will get back to you. My armor took 6 weeks for the build and delivery. I only received emails at the beginning and when it shipped.
  6. First time today in armor for a photo shoot for the paper!

  7. Strapping and fixes complete! Ready to troop!!

  8. Personally, I use E6000. If you make a mistake, it is far more forgiving. It has worked great for me so far. Also, yes, use clamps. Takes time for it to dry and the clamps will help it stay in place.
  9. About 6 weeks or less for RS
  10. Chrome books are not too bad. Cheap price and work well. Only downside I heard is their apps are all Google, but I've never heard anything bad there. HP's are ok, but watch the connector cables since the company switches them up a lot. Had that issue with my wife's and couldn't find a replacement.
  11. Suit ready for trooping!!

  12. Agreed. Stay away from originalstormtrooper.com. I almost made that mistake in the beginning to. Use the resources here. Take your time, and yes, it gets expensive, but in the end, it's all worth it.
  13. Added a fan and glued in my frown screen on my bucket today. Nearing completion!!!

  14. Very cool and I want one too!! (My wife will kill me though)
  15. Hello Brandon. Speaking from some experience and the same enthusiasm, I purchased a full commission from RS prop masters. Some pieces fit and many didn't. I purchased mine back in Aigust and now almost complete with trimming and re-strapping. It's a process but from what I learned, purchase a kit. As cool as it is to get the ready to wear stuff, I had a lot of obstacles. When I torn it apart and started fixing and trimming, it was actually very fun and educational. It's not a fast process and can test your patience, but it is worth it.
  16. Yeah nothing yet. I remade all the strapping and actually fits far better now. Left in the original white bridge straps since those were good and snug but switched the button out since that would hold the arms. Just have to trim up the legs then all finished. Been an interesting experience to say the least, but still fun and lots of learning.
  17. Fixing and re-adjusting my armor from RS. In need of PVC cover strips for the back of the thighs. Have not been able to find anything close locally and have not heard back from RS as of yet, but wondering if anyone has any I could purchase or if using ABS would work just as well. I figured there might be a slight color difference if used ABS, but just seeing if anyone had PVC. Thanks, Ben
  18. This was great and the first time I saw an honest trailer. Spent the next hour watching a bunch of them. Great post!
