  1. I'd just drill a hole and rivet from the inside using a small washer. The ears will cover it.
  2. Thanks everyone for your kind words. It means alot at this difficult time.........
  3. Hi Guys, I just want to say that if you are waiting for anything from me as regards to products I make and supply in the hobby or any PM's that have not been answered then please bare with me. My mother passed away on Saturday afternoon. It was a bit of a shock as we were expecting her to come home at the weekend from a long stay in hospital. She was diagnosed with brain cancer just before Christmas last year. She was a fighter and very positive throughout her battle. It was a infection that finally took her from us. The family were with her as she passed. A very sad time for us all. It was Very peaceful. I will get back to business as soon as I can. Thank you all for your understanding.
  4. When you see stuff like this you begin to realise how unnecessary we get sometimes. They really didn't care how they looked on set and it shows.......It was never supposed to be viewed in High Definition when it was made and the 6 foot rule applied. If you couldn't see it from 6 feet then it didn't matter If they knew we were going to watch it frame by frame in high def they would have had a heart attack trying to keep all the continuity flowing as it should nowadays........ :ninja:
  5. I'm in the UK..... I also sell on ebay but I guess I'm an exception to the crap rule?........... I hope so anyway
  6. I also believe there were more than 1 type of boot used. Some look to have a tread and some look like they have a leather sole with a rubber tread patch on the sole.........
  7. You'er just showing off now! I see what you mean. The Loakes seem to be the closest I found so far but seeing as I don't know the make or model I'm just stabbing in the dark. I can't imagine they were an expensive boot as the production wouldn't have spent that much on them. Oh well. Someone might find it in themselves to share the information one day. Until then I'm not going to sweat over it much more....... Thanks for the pics Paul.
  8. I found these and they are a bargin at £36.... Not a bad match
  9. Paul, I understand your reason for not saying anything as you were asked by someone that owns an original pair not to. Right? Hats off for sticking to your word. It just winds me up when we could all be bettering our replicas with little details that make all the difference. We all know Sterlings are the basis of the E11, that black rubber gloves were used, door runner for the grips of sabers and blasters it hasn't devalued any screen used props in any way and to my knowledge no one has tried to fake anything as original? Don't see why this is any different?
  10. I'm still at a loss as to why this information of a pair of boots has remained a secret for so long? What is anyone losing out on by this being public knowledge? Unless someone buys a warehouse full of different sizes and opens a TK boot shop then I see no reason why this is such a guarded secret? What has anyone to lose? I doubt we will see an influx of "original" screen used Stormtrooper boots for sale. It's not like there are thousands available to buy.
  11. Without completely resculpting the armour there was nothing could do about the curvature I'm afraid. I have thought about it but then it takes away the whole lineage thing.
  12. I agree with Paul. Although I think for the definitive Jedi look it has to be bubble. For trooping it has to be flat and as they were present on set then it is technically correct.
  13. You cannot imprt this into the States. Only Sterling parts kits are legal in the US. it has to be cut up into bits. Not sure about Canada but that's the law for the US.
  14. Happy Birthday mate......
  15. I reckon you could trim the teeth out a bit more. The ROTJ teeth didn't have any return and are quite large and open. EDIT: actually looking at yours with the frown painted , I wouldn't worry about it!
  16. Lucas beat me to it.....
  17. The decals are ordered and payed for so I am just waiting on the printing and delivery. They said about 2 weeks and that was a week ago.
  18. Looking good, I love the exploded view!
  19. great idea and a great tutorial! Looking good dude!
  20. I'm glad it's all going together nicely. Having worked so hard on the armour I'm slightly biased as to what's the crowning glory but I have admit the helmet is a beauty.
  21. The armour goes through the same process....
