After a few years in a conservatory I suspect this suit is probably best left on a mannequin. If you want to whiten Keith back up there's some options for a display item, but that amount of UV damage is a one way trip.

We're still on the old server, a new one is being worked on. Until we're moved over the service will continue to have good days and bad ones. We also have a plan in place to help reduce the load further but will want to get the new box up and running first. What was changed was where the the whitearmor.net url lives and who owns that.

There is a general problem in that we've out grown our current server. Work on a replacement has started but is being done as time is available. @Locitus has also suggested we add Cloudflare in front of our systems after the transfer is completed. This should help lighten the load on the server and so help keep things smooth.

This has now happened. There was a short 1-2 hour down time but should now be resolved.

I've been looking back at the reference, and I am not sure what that is referring to. Best I can see is maybe in some images you can see the holster and that's what I was seeing? I'll remove it.

Very nice. Very comprehensive build.

From memory most of those seams you highlighted should remain, but do check the CRL and the reference images. The key ones that need to be filled are the 2 on each side of the abdomen armour and the two shoulders. I don't believe any more than that needs to be filled. I would also suggest you smooth out some of the trim lines to make a nice clean line as in a few places the cuts are a bit uneven.

As part of the work on our web hosting we are moving the domain to a new registrar. This has been requested and when it happens may cause a period of down time. I will update once this is completed.

Just in time for me to steal all your build techniques for my build Great looking build.

Basic approval is done by your GML rather than us. From what I can see here it looks like it should be okay but I’ll state I’m not a DLT expert. There’s no obviously big problems. Maybe a tad bright on the wear in a few places but that’s easy enough to dial down. I can’t tell how itnwas made but I can’t see any obvious print lines or anything like that in year images. Best bet is to have a chat with your GML and then go from there.

Personally, this looks more like a clone detachment then a FISD costume. The helmet might be more TK than clone but the rest is far more reminiscent of a clone to my non-clone expert eyes.

It is. The draft CRL should match the R1 CRL iirc. Well bar the gold and cracking.

I have been plodding away on this, completely missed my initial deadline shocking absolutely no one ? Today I managed to finish rough trimming the last pulls. As these we more than "completely boring" I'll do a quick update on them. First was the shoulder bells. The trim line on this was "soft" to say the least. It was okay at the top but by the bottom was all but invisible even on the back. I ended up adding a few dots on the back side where it was JUST visible using an ultra fine sharpie. Then I held this up to a light and played join the dots on the front to be able to trim it. This was then trimmed with a mix of score and snap and some curved laxan scissors. The last parts I did was the abdomen shells. For these I was worried about flex at the "petals" causing cracks into the main armour so I started by using a 3mm drill to add a "crack stop" in all the corners. This gives a nice clean end to the runs and stops cracks forming in the first place. I then went back added all the trim lines and got to work on the rest, Again a mix of score and snap and the scissors. This shows the purpose of the drill holes. The trim is a bit rough but you can see how the drill left a nice clean corner with no chance of a crack running. I'll clean up with some sandpaper and files before gluing. With all the parts trimmed I did the obligatory "am I too fat" check. And I think I am okay. I expect I'll need about 1-2" of gap at the back but shouldn't need any shims. I am have some leave booked to use up each week this year in a "use it or lose it" situation so I am hoping to get a bit more done on this but Christmas looms large and there is shopping I'll need to do. I think my next goal is to get the abdomen cleaned up, test fit and see where that gets me. This part seems to from the core of the armour with other bits hanging off or fitting over so seems like a reasonable start point.

I have a pile of old IKEA hand towels in my box. Before packing up I wipe down all the yuck and then chuck those towels in with my under suit for a wash. Once all clean it just goes back into the box for next time.

Hi all future Captain Enochs. We are still looking for a CRL model. A member was working with us but unfortunately they have been hit with Darth Life and have much more important things to look after. We have seen a number of great builds here, if you are one of them and have a finished build please do get into contact. Please note as this will be the CRL model we will be paying close attention to not only the general build but also key things like 3D print lines and fit to the member in question. It would be amazing to get this CRL completed before the end of the term.

The tones and general shape all look appropriate to me but lighting and fit are a huge part of this. It can be hard to judge any part in isolation, it will be easier to judge in a full or partial kit up. It is worth noting that on the screen used on the 2 main front panels are clearly leather along with the waist wrap section. The leather grain can clearly be seen here: The front middle, sides and back are the sections we're not sure on and the focus of the discussion. For now the CRL, bar the waist, not much mentions materials used. It wouldn't be unreasonable I don't think that level 3, and maybe 2, required leather (or leather like) materials for the 2 front panels.
