Playing the devil's advocate here... It could be a security issue with such a high profile event. If it was actual Disney staff they could have done background checks and provided the inspected and safe blasters. With the 501st members being only "general public" I could see the security issue. Not saying that this is what happened but a good possibility. That is until a 501st member says nope, it was me and they didn't even check my blaster. For all we know they could have been actual FO troopers with real blasters making some side money as hired security, I hear the Empire doesn't pay very well.

This was at the actual premier at the Chinese Theater with the cast, Lucas and Abrams there. I agree TK 2759, at a 501st event as a 501st you must follow the direction given even if you don't agree with them.

I didn't think I was. I was just stating that I don't think they should say not to bring blasters then they go and do it. I also don't think seeing a blaster makes people do bad things.

So did all of you see the pictures from the premier last night????? Guess what, all troopers had blasters! I was at Disneyland on Saturday and there were two cast First order troopers patrolling the area every 30 minutes and guess what, Blasters. Believe it or not they also sell E-11's and light sabers there too. So where is the consistency? They ask the 501st not to do it but they do it at all high profile events. So LFL/Disney, "don't do it but we will continue to". I have a very different opinion than others I guess. Seeing blasters and a storm trooper does not make someone go on a mass shooting. Bad people do and are going to continue to do bad things. So what is the difference in seeing a live trooper with a blaster or watching the movie and seeing them actually shoot? Should police officers and the military stop carrying guns because someone might see them and wand to do bad things? I think it has gotten ridiculous. That is my opinion and I don't condone breaking any 501st rules but it is ridiculous. Any idiot knows a trooper with a blaster isn't going to hit anyone anyways. It is sad that everything here is constantly, "screen accurate, screen accurate" over and over then no blasters and buckets. Most have worked so hard and long to make their TK as good as they can and can't share that now. I played cops and robbers as a kid with cap guns, imagined we were Luke and Han fighting troopers, played video games with shooting and target shoot real firearms and like 99.9% of the population have never thought of harming another person. Even in countries with total firearms bans bad things still happen. Viva La E-11!

So stopped by the Launch Bay on Saturday at Disneyland and there was not a single Anovos original TK. They had the classic bucket, the TFA bucket and the full Vader. The models were cool and the first order flame trooper was awesome.. These guys were pretty cool in the Star Trader shop too..

That is correct. A few days ago people were talking about the TK in Launch Bay and were asking for pictures but it looks like it is an early prototype that doesn't represent the final kit but I thought I would still offer.

At this point I feel better and their customer service has been great today. This is their final response and it sounds like they understand our concerns and are willing to work with us. "I do understand this, and I thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention so that I am able to address those as best as I am able. To assist you with this, we can certainly hold the shipment until new photos of the final product can be taken and made available publicly. Otherwise, should you wish to have the items shipped and they do not meet your expectations, we can certainly take back the items (as long as they are in re-sellable condition) and refund accordingly." ANOVOS. Also, does anybody want pictures from the Disney Launch Bay? I will be there tomorrow.

So......... their response...... "Due to the holiday season and the fact that shipments will probably begin around the same time that the final production piece reaches our photographer, this isn't likely." I guess now is the time to jump ship or keep the faith and hope that those of us in the first wave actually get a good product. I would hope they are smart enough to realize if they ship junk within minutes of the first box opening the word will spread like wild fire and if it is crap all orders will be canceled. I think I will hold out and can always cancel my shadow troopers if these are crap. I still feel this is poor planning on their part and does not build confidence with the product. The higher ups must have seen the finished product and they even stated that Disney was approving all parts so someone with a camera or phone could have taken some pictures by now and shared them with us that have put our money up without seeing the product.

Wow, that was fast. They already replied... "We have been sending out newsletter updates which feature pictures of pieces." I responded saying that I already received the newsletter pictures and that this didn't answer my question. Again, will we get to see the complete final product before they ship?

I just sent this to Anovos customer service so I will let you know what they say....... "Hello, ​ ​I have two (2) Classic trilogy storm trooper kits and two (2) Shadow trooper kits on order. I bought them at the 1st pre-order release so I should be in the first wave of delivery. It has been reported that you hope to ship towards the end of December and that the product is already being produced and sent to order fulfillment facilities. I also understand that I can cancel my orders for a full refund before it ships. ​ ​My question and concern is are we going to see the finished product before you ship them? If they are already produced and going to the shippers can you please start showing the finished product? I am concerned that the first time I see it will be when it arrives at my door and now I am stuck with something that was not as advertised. ​ ​Thank you."

The only thing that is starting to concern me is that they have already said that production has begun and released some teaser pics of the first pulls and indicated they are on their way to the fulfillment facility for a late December ship date. If all of this is true then why haven' they released any final armor pictures, bucket pictures or anything like that. If it is all done and getting ready to ship you would think they would be blasting publicity pictures everywhere. Even their preorder page still has the old prototype pictures. Makes me concerned what the final product will actually be. We are taking a huge risk here buying a product sight unseen and they need to give us an update with final pictures ASAP if they are actually shipping in a few weeks.

Like I said, I have both kits so if you need any info or pictures let me know. My pipe kit did not include the scope, power cylinders, counter, T-tracks and the folding stock was in two pieces. The full kit includes all of this and the folding stock was one piece. For me as a first timer the full kit is the way to go and is why I ordered a second one and am going to sell the pipe kit with a scope. The pipe kit comes with the parts for an ESB E-11 minus the scope and the full kit is for the ANH E-11 from what I can tell. Your armor build should determine what E-11 you need to be building. For one stop shopping get the full Doopy kit, the magazine from Gazmosis and the completion kit from T-jay. You will have everything you need for ANH except for tools and paint and time.

We are all excited and I for one had hoped it would arrive before the movie premier so I could at least wear the bucket and boots. That being said I am sure it will not happen and was never promised by Anovos so I am ok with enjoying my Christmas then having a second Christmas morning when the brown boxes finally arrive.

I am in the same boat, waiting on my TK kit so I ordered the Doopy pipe kit. Here in the states it has been difficult to find the correct pipe and I work at an irrigation company. 1-1/4" PVC is close but keep in mind that the kit doesn't come with a scope or the counter. For a small amount more I ordered the full Doopy resin kit and it is much better and looks to be much easier to complete. I checked their site Monday morning to get a second and they were back in stock. You just have to remember to check every day. To make it even easier you can order a better magazine from Gazmosis? and the completion kit from T-Jay.

For us in the States I can say that TK Boots has been awesome to deal with.

Or they could ship them then notify us. Would be an easy way to say sorry they are not what you expected but you had to cancel your order before they shipped. Either way, I can't wait.. BTW: It is great camping weather here in So. Cal. at the moment. On Saturday I will be at the Launch Bay and I am sure they will be willing to give me one of the ones they have there as soon as I show my ANOVOS receipt.

You had better stop that filthy talk! LOL! I will be setting up my tent and camping out in the front yard from now until the 18th waiting for the Brown Truck to come around the corner with my Christmas present from ANOVOS.

I would say that the first one here to get to Launch Bay should just try to buy one and see what the details are and report back instead of speculating. Shouldn't take long. As far as the Vader price just remember Anovos is charging $2,750 and it is Disney that is charging $4,000. They have marked it up for their profit. Poor underfunded Disney, you should feel sorry for them. Also the basic line is $2,750 and the premier line is $5,750 from Anovos so this could be some kind of hybrid too.

I will be at the launch bay on the 12th if nobody can get there before then.

Haters are always going to hate. With that being said unfortunately we are going to be forced to just wait and see. I admit that I loved star wars as a kid but could care less as an adult, that is until my 5 year old son fell i love with it. We went to Celebration and he was in heaven then we saw the Anovos booth and for $350 with free shipping my wife and i were in, after we saw the Rubies crap kits for $1,000. After that I learned about the 501st as when we preordered all we wanted them for was Halloween 2016. If not for this cheap kit I would have never thought twice of found the 501st or all the good it does so you can thank Anovos for another family interested in the 501st. I have also learned about the details here and builds like the awesome detail Vern has done with the blasters and already ordered two of the Doopy kits. I think we all need to calm down and see what ships. What I am the most excited about is some of the most respected builders like Vern and others that are willing to take the time and show all of us how these can be made in a step by step way to comply with all levels of certification and increase the 501st family and community. Since we placed our order my son can't stop talking about how he gets to boss his parents "storm troopers" around on Halloween and he already has his Darth Vader costume two sizes too big for next year. That is what this is all about.

In the picture you posted in post #11 in the lower right corner is says 5/04 to me it seems that this would indicate this particular tube was manufactured in May 2004. I could be entirely wrong too.

Must be a European thing. Here in the states we can buy it at any local hardware store.

I agree, I have been trying to get one since last week. My guess is not a lot are buying then reading this.
