  1. I built this over a year ago but I never shared. I bought the crazy expensive Hyperdyne upgrade for my Hasbro E-11. I still can't believe I did it. I have to admit, it's really fun to use. Everyone who sees it wants to try it. I know the T-tracks end up not accurate, but the lights and sound are great! The slurping sound in the background on the video is my dog drinking water, lol.
  2. I think people were using these successfully 35" Mobile Job Box Guess it all depends on how much your putting in there.
  3. I've been using this Fibre Craft Faceshield Window on Amazon It is easy to cut and it bends to the helmets contours nicely after being dipped in boiling water for a bit. Depending on how you cut it, you can probably get 3 to 4 full lenses out of it. It is 8" X 16" so a lot of material for your money.
  4. So here is what I did as my temporary fix as I wait for my a longer belt. I took Vern's advice and made a simple shim. Its basically a 2" wide by 3" long piece of velcro which i stuck together. One side being the fuzzy side and the other side being the hook side. It works great! When I put the Thermal Detonator on it completely hides it. I think the velcro on the shim is a better quality too so it provides more hold. Thanks again, Vern! ---------
  5. Thanks Tony for the tip! I just purchased it. That is great that it works off of the drill (already own). Saves on the elbow grease
  6. Thank you Tony and Sly! Yay! This feels really good! I'm at work right now with a smile from ear to ear. I appreciate all your kind comments. You are correct, I polished up the ABS with Novus. I assumed Joseph was mentioning the paint job on my helmet, all Humbrol (no decals). I have to get myself a buffing wheel! That sounds brilliant!!!
  7. Just requested Centurion Status!... patience

  8. Name: Aaron Brudvig TK ID: 19513 Forum Name: Squimspickle 501st Unit: Ohio Garrison Armor Maker: ATA Works Helmet Maker: ATA Works Blaster Type: BlasTech Industries E-11 (DoopyDoo's) Height: 5'10" Weight: 162 lbs. Boots Maker: TK Boots Canvas Belt: Clothears Hand Plates Type: RS Prop Masters Neck Seal Type: Trooperbay Holster Maker: Trooperbay TK-19513 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status (ATA) [525] The suggestions from my EIB request were to smooth out some of the ends on my cover strips, so as to avoid armor bite. Since EIB, I sanded the the edges of the cover strips where necessary. Centurion suggestion was to reduce the gap between my back and kidney plates. Since EIB, I replaced the bracket loops between the back and the kidney with some nylon webbing. I'm leaving the brackets and screws in so the exterior still looks authentic. I also lengthened the straps over my shoulders. These were great suggestions because now when I lift my arms, my chest plate doesn't ride up and show gaps. I definitely appreciate the constructive help with getting my armor more comfortable and looking its best!
  9. ATA Works wait is 11 months now. I got on the list December 9th, 2014 and got mine November 1st, 2015. He gave me an update a week before I received it. More then likely your kit is about a month away from completion.
  10. It's a good idea how your doing it, take a little off and then compare. You definitely can cut out more in the eyes. Teeth look good. Maybe straighten out the sides on a few of the teeth a tiny bit more, nothing too serious. A set of needle files really helps out in these tight areas. Here is how far I took mine down during my build. This is an ATA helmet as well. Make sure you check out the Photo Reference Gallery too. Lots of detailed pics from screen used armor. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/ Nice work, keep it up!
  11. I'm sure you have plenty going on, but I thought I would drop a friendly reminder. Would love to get this before I apply for Centurion. Thank you!
  12. I can see that working nicely too. I have placed an order for a longer belt. I wouldn't have a problem putting an extra snap in the back though while I wait. I could then do it to the new belt as well for the extra hold as you do. Thanks for that suggestion!
  13. Yeah, I think everyone is right on here. I'm going to shim it while I wait for a new belt. We all fluctuate weight every so often. I'll need the flexibility. A 45" inch belt would do the trick. I definetly appreciate all the feedback. It all helped. I'm going to contact Clothears Costumes.
  14. I got home from work and measured the belt. It's a 40" belt. When I ordered it they asked me for my waist size. I asked them if I should measure my waist or if they wanted pants size. They responded with "Tell us the size that you wear in jeans". I wear a 31 in jeans. So when I got the belt it seemed a bit snug but it was working so I went with it. I put on about 5 lbs over the past few months and now I can tell it's a problem. Maybe it's the difference between my ATA armor vs the RS? But it does seem that they cut it close, considering the belt has to go around the amor as well.
