  1. Yes and I'm looking forward to finally being done and getting out there.
  2. Yes that was a lesson I learned back with my thigh.
  3. Will do. I'm just glad that I've been able to not break a piece or make any irreversible mistakes.
  4. Thanks Tony. Yeah I thought it was between 3-4 and I'm pretty sure I have plenty of room to go with 4. Possibly even 5, but 4 definitely. Like I said I need to reposition that right one anyways. Perhaps I can get to that tonight before work and get some better pictures. After this I just need to glue my shin elastic and drill one of them for the bra clips. Shave a little more of the return edge on the cod. Thigh strapping loops for the belt. Paint the ab buttons. Then I need to tackle my belt and measure how much to trim and reattach the the velcro. Then I should be able to take advantage of the pre-approval thread.
  5. Alright got the straps glued in but need to readjust my right one as it slipped a bit while gluing. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  6. Ah I see, I'm not sure about that one. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  7. Been a bit, but been busy with other things so the build has been on hold. I did however finally get my shoulder straps elastic and hard straps done, but one of them decided to wander a bit so I'll need to reglue it. I'll probably do it tomorrow. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  8. Recasting in general is frowned upon with consent from the original maker. Goes for anything though. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  9. Sounds like they weren't completely dry. Though strange things happen. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  10. Still need to attach my chest to back elastic and straps. Then painting and fine tuning, then finished. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  11. If you use clamps or magnets to flatten them it will be fine. Remember that the back part of the strap will be held down with elastic. I don't see where this would cause many issues.
  12. I don't think you can trim any if you're going for centurion. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. A little more progress on the E-11. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  14. So I've been busy and haven't done much with the armor, but it is getting near completion. However I am revisiting my rubies E-11 with some upgrades. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  15. You're welcome. If you're using the Happy trooper plans it is only good for basic level 1 approval. You need to do more for higher levels.
  16. From what I understand yes they are.
  17. I always figured the track was wipers since they were trimmed to fit and tucked into the holes. So 11x7 huh? What is the length, about 30-40cm? Roughly the same as the E-11? I was thinking of going Sandy but would like to do so sans pack, but from what I've seen that isn't really an option I'll have to check in over on the MEPD again. I do like the look of the natural wood look but may do a black butt. I've also considered doing two different ones, one painted and one natural. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  18. So I'm planning on doing a DLT-19 using happy troopers plans but I know there needs to be some modifying done, but these are not the questions I have right now. The big ones I have are... First: since this is going to be a scratch build I want to try my hand at doing the T-track. What are the measurements on those? I thought about using some of the scrap abs from my armor build, but I know they should be rubber as they were made from wiper blades. Second part of this is if I want to do them using the wiper blades what is a good source for them? Second: So doing this I want to make it so I can break it down in half with a removable barrel any tips or suggestions on this would be appreciated. Last: Is it necessary to have the butt painted black or can it be natural wood? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  19. Yeah I would say that those tabs should definitely be trimmed off. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  20. I had the opposite issue with doing the brackets, that I didn't have enough return edge for them. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  21. Yup nylon on the left and nylon snap and added one of the supplied elastic pieces lower down. I may need to do something with the belt was just hoping it wouldn't need to be drastic measures to do so. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  22. So I think I figure out a solution to the ab to kidney gap by using some of the included velcro elastic for that section. I am also a little confused over my belt because I have to wrap it almost all the way over to the end of the velcro. I may add an additional bit of velcro further over to solve the issue as I have an extra piece left over from my neck seal. Sort of fell I'm having more issues and odd questions than I should and I know I'm getting good feedback, but feel like I'm making odd mistakes that should be obvious answers. 23. Was just thinking on this and realized my upper body is a bit short so this is perhaps the issue. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  24. Hahaha! Yeah I need to get some of that, but I can't seem to find the testors #1747 anywhere. Is there an alternate or does it matter? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  25. Thanks Tony. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
