1. Ha ha ha ha ha!!!Thanks will, you've really made better a boring monday... The video is hilarious.
2. But that would take away the super desirable bump in the right eye! Don't get me wrong, I prefer the sanitized way, but there is something magic in an RS helmet, charming with all its imperfections, as the were made... At least as a display. The anovos bucket is something in between, smooth surface but wonky, square and clean teeth but asimetrical mouth and neck... I yet have to make up my mind if I like it or not. Better decide when I hold mine in my hands, and if I can't cope up with the wonkiness... time for modding!
3. Sorry to highjack here, but another thread around with a very similar issue.
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32518-rogue-one-tks/
There you can find pictures stolen from a drone of a few stunts dressed up in stormtrooper gear during the real shooting of Rogue One. I don't have a trained eye, but people there seemed to be sure the armors weren't anovos' and weren't very happy about the general look of it.
To me, if the suits were anovos, that would be great news, cos that would grant immediately my yet to arrive kit the "certification of screen accuracy".
4. Hummm. Or may be that anovos has the mother of all the shipment departments and they rock! One way or another I agree that the shipment seems to be much faster than expected, at least within USA. Let's see how things go here in Europe next week. Mine should be in one of those lots...
5. Hi Jason.Take a look at these other thread here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35161-anovos-crooked-frown/page-3? There you can compare some pics with yor helmet. The link will (hopefully) take you to the third page of the thread where is reposted "somebody's FB picture" of a before/after easy five minutes modding of the left side of the frown. Hope that helps!
6. Really? "A lot of cancellations"? I don't mess much outside white armor for this anovos issue, so I may be missing something, but I don't get the impression that "a lot" of cancellation have happened. There might have been a few, but for what I read here, people seem to be quite happy with their kits and only minor complaints. Am I wrong?
7. lol.. you should definetly use this as profile image... it´s great.
8. I don´t see any reason why modding this frown would be any harder than modding the MR CE/eFx teeth, and you can find around here a good number of those jobs with excellents results. I am in fact in the middle of one of these transformations with mine at home. Just need the guts to fo for it!
9. Now is comming out loud and clear, 5-5. And it´s an interesting scientific paper with a few apocaliptic though funny statements. Thanks for sharing. (poor, poor little ewoks... friendly fire or collateral casualties? That´s why we must stop this rebel scum and return the order to the galaxy)
10. I don´t know for the rest... but when I try to clic the link, an error message is displayed: "The page you are trying to reach cannot be found" Might be another mystery inside the mystery? It sounds like hilarious story though...
11. My gosh... You're right! Never red the whole small letter to the last... Just got mistaken by the title where sais "only uk costumers only at the moment". Anyhow, I've subscribed to their mail list alarm to see if I get lucky enough to catch one, but keeping an eye on other options as these one of yours. Thanks for the info!
12. Am I wrong or Doopy's DLTs aren't shipped outside uk? I was considering to get one a couple of months ago but according to their website, they didn't serve abroad the island. So I started to look for an alternative option and found a couple here on the fisd, the DSP props and the ASH one (that last is from Spain) and both resins and around the price of the ZIB.
Nice catch you've done there, remember to show here the improvements you make on this.
13. Thanks Tom. Beautiful OII plate. It looks sharp as expected. Very interesting the shoulder bells, yours clearly different. Congrats on you kit!
14. Yeah, I also pointed out slightly differences between this bucket and other we could see in other thread (Scott's build). The ear cups seem to have less gap between them and the helmet itself, the ear curve over the tubes appears to have a smoother line and the third screw at the bottom near the rubber is noticeable on both sides. We will have to wait until more people show their helmets to get an idea of the consistency in the anovos assembly process. The tooth on this is definitely better sprayed.
15. I could use more pics to ease myself... Any of the lucky ones, please, some picture detailing de OII back plate?
16. Hey mike... You really seem to have a problem with clean shiny guys! This would be my first kit and I will probably go standar white regular trooper. Probably as many of the first time builders, I think. Once I have full-filed that childhood wish (or once I get tired of the white armor) who knows what will call me next! A shock trooper like yours? Nice job there!
17. AND they made it on time!... Just wanted to point this out to be fair with AnOvOs' guys after all the especulation about they weren't going to make it. I hope they can keep the machine at full power and serve us all fast enough.
I'm very curious about the strapping system and the assembly instructions and how the OII back plate looks, cause there was some issues about it being too sharp.
It's going to be a long wait but I will be on holiday next March and in the meantime I can watch and learn... This hobby has teach me patience and expectation so far.
Congrats to the happy ones!
18. C'mon guys... Let's give the chance that we may like the armor! I agree that change in the return and refund policy needs clarifications, but it's seems like a lot of people it's eager not to like the kit and thinking about returning it or cancelling the order even before it has reached their doors! Of course three or four hundreds is money, but after almost ten months of wait I am anxious to get the suit... And I am not thinking all the time that it will suck.
Stay optimistic!
19. Happy new year to you all guys...Sooo françois, are you already open for business? I have a mark on the calendar on January the 16th as your "back to work", waiting for that to come and set an order... Do you now take orders prior to that date? For how long will that promo price last?
20. Probably Rogue One will wash away all this bitter polemic and both worlds would then become canon. Then it would be only a matter of taste: old style vs new style. Both good and welcome. I don't see real opposition. I like the two of them. Old time armors got me for the empire and new gears look the way I imagined stormtroopers would be back then. My first kit is going to be an Anovos and can't find any reason to be ashame of that. If I finally get the skills and confidence to build it right, enought space and the approval of my wife, this would be surely the beginning of more than a hobby and sooner o later I will aim for an old time suit. Having both with their pros and cons, having the knowledge to appreciate them in their greatness and weakness.
To me is more like having a good e-11, I mean a good one, one that looks great... And also a real sterling conversion. Don't see why I have to choose one over the other. One is an object to display and honor the original Star Wars universe. The other is to use and keep that spirit up to date.
Both are two sides of the same story, I guess.
Don't know guys. Just my two cents...
21. Ok, thanks again, Tom.
22. thanks for the pics, Tom.. Do you happen to have any close one of the two suits seen reflected in the mirror in your second image? Could that be an anovos full armor on display? Is Anovos officially providing armors and buckets for RO or this is just a guess? And those on Times Square exhibit are Anovos OT or RO? Are they the same?
23. Sorry to take this aside... But here in Spain it's now past 9 in the evening and I'm already "happy" celebrating New Year's Day. Didn't want to let these pass without wishing you all a very very very happy "anovos kit 2016". BBB day is closer now and I really wish you all that it bring us all what we desire and deserve... Hopefully we could have it all ready for service in the rogue one premiere next year!
Happy new year to everyone and keep this great community rolling!!!!
Cheersssss
24. That's the main reason for the ugly face of the helmet in the first place. To raise fear upon the opponents. Very baaaad guys those stormies
25. Great choice the DLT. I think I've seen around here some "poor man's scratch built" for something similar with espectacular results. Keep us informed when you start that.
