  1. I too am 6'2 with a big ol' jughead. I wear an AP just fine. I had to open the bottom up a bit more and it's a "turn the helmet sideways first and screw it on" kind of affair but it goes on and off no problem. It's actually quite comfy. I have 2 fans, wire loom, 3 9v batteries, and a large switch box in there too. It's padded with T-ball helmet padding to keep it from moving. All of that and my big old gourd fits just fine. The donning and removing is the tricky part b/c you literally have to put the helmet on sideways and twist it back right as it comes down. Same for coming off.
  2. I used E-6000 to put mine in. Takes a steady hand to get the placement right but I don't worry about them coming loose. The E-6000 didn't craze the lenses at all.
  3. Very nice! Much obliged for the hard work.
  4. Almost exactly what I told GINO on the MEPD boards. To quote a buddy of mine "Lest we forget, we're all a bunch of thirty-somethings wearing plastic."
  5. While I was a member, I visited that site a grand total of 4 or 5 times. Never posted anything and never had any desire to. He is what he is and what he is is not something I like. I'll shut up b/c I'll start to bash and that ain't cool.
  6. I was banned as well. A. for being a member of DIYprops and B. b/c I told him how the cow eats the cabbage on the MEPD. My feelings were REALLY hurt by that too I gotta tell you.
  7. New trooper TK2316 requesting access! http://www.501stlegion.org/members/display...amp;costumeID=2
  8. I have the Cheng knock offs from ebay (the Vietnamese water well boots). I love them! I'll definitely get another pair when it comes time to do a TK.
  9. We must have posted at the same time tatooine! LOL
  10. http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2...arl-jones_N.htm See if that works.
  11. I grew up on outlaw country (Willie, Waylon, Hank Jr., David Allen Coe) b/c that's what my dad listened to and I'll always have a soft spot for that stuff. I like other older stuff too like George Jones, Earl Thomas Conley, Conway Twitty, etc. I still love George Strait, Alabama, and other stuff from the 80's. I'm mostly a hard rock kinda guy nowadays though. For me, there's TOOL, then A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, then everything else! LOL
  12. That car is truly beautiful. I'm envious!
  13. Titanium sent! Good site guys. I learn a lot here!
  14. Well crud. I just applied for membership last week and it looks like all of my choices are taken. I wonder will that slow down the process?
  15. That's an awesome looking bucket man! Now you just need to dirty it up! LOL J/K. Here's to hoping that one day my wife will let me do a TK in addition to my TD! Great job on that lid Sir.
  16. Don't be so certain. I'm a pretty big dude at 6'2 and 230 lbs. I've got a pretty good melon on me too. I wear an AP just fine. Had to open the bottom up a bit to make it work...but it works. I do have to put it on sideways and twist it into position though. Once on, it's fine though.
  17. I was finally able to get in on it too. Been waiting a looooong time!
  18. I used the stuff from here : Webers Pump . The part is the RG102. I bought 6 feet to make sure I had enough in case I messed up. It's only $2 a foot and they ship very quickly!
  19. That looks really cool Colin! I have an AP lid too and there's NO WAY I could get all that and my head in there too though! LOL It HURTS to put that thing on and take it off (sure does look good though!)
  20. It may have changed. The reason I say this is b/c on the MEPD boards where I first learned of it, they were talking about it having some white chalky stuff all over it that needed cleaning off. Mine didn't have it. Therefore, I feel it's possible they may have changed it up somewhat. Not sure though.
  21. I got the neck trim from0000----------- It's part number RG102 (second from the top on the page in the link. I hear it's not as accurate as the stuff you can get overseas but it's the best option anyone's found stateside from what I've read. I really like it. I used 3M Rubberized Undercoating. It's in a spray can in the automotive section of Wal-Mart (where the touch up paints are). It takes a while to fully cure and is pretty smelly until it does though, so be warned! It does look nice when done though.
