  1. SWEET! My trooping dreams have finally come true. Shock trooper has always been my goal, bucket list complete! Thank you Steve, and I want to say thank you to the trooping community for all your support making this dream a reality.
  2. It's all about glue cure times. While making alteration to my TD from Police to SWAT I was actually using my heat gun to warm the plastic to speed up the cure time. I NOT suggesting you do this, just a FYI ambient temperatures make a huge difference. You're welcome Joseph, keep up the good work.
  3. Great questions, do not feel pressured to ask, that's what's were here for. How long you letting the e6000 dry before continuing? Though 24 to 48 hours is recommended in some areas I continue my building 6-8 hrs after applying, anyways to answer you questions... You can make the hole bigger if you wish but I don't recommend it. The hole is almost the exact circumference as the II O portion sticking out. It sits perfectly in the cut out section. Yes it will scratch it so I suggest using door insulation where one side is sticky, generally found in the door hardware section of you local hardware store, something tuff. You can also use an old black shirt to cover the hole. Yes you can make the straps wider if you like. On my TD backpack I actually use straps from a cheap school backpack that has padding built in.
  4. A) Ahhh the joys of of trooping in skin tight armor, not! If all possible give yourself some room on the back, I was in the same boat. If you look at my EIB or Cent post you'll notice the rear cover strips of my things are a bit wide. My approving officer allowed it to fly because it was symmetrical. If you're uncertain about the width or the look you can temporarily tape the rear cover strip to the thighs and take another pic for us to see. Yes a garter belt setup will help keep them centered. Great Job
  5. haha, shooting for the big league today
  6. Hey Joseph thanks my fellow future HWT
  7. Hey Joseph you can reach him here [email protected]. He only builds a handful of these a year. They're a bit pricey and the electronic version is well worth the $ You are correct , Thank you
  8. Thank you Kyle, GGG forever Thanks Manutex
  9. Well trim it about 1/2" away from the corner edge first and see how much of a edge to have to work with.

  11. Good info there Germain.
  12. Looks great. You can trim the return edges if you need to. My thighs are kinda big so I only have about 3/16" return edge, some areas less. Don't trim any more shape to the thighs then they already are. Armor shape differs between builders, this is a minor detail when it comes to EIB or Cent. I also wouldn't worry about the lower offset either at this point, your outer cover strip will help with the visual. For future reference, align return edge areas like this first. Those are some big magnets, have you been bitten yet? "We got a bleeder" hahaha Keep up the good work
  13. Awesome! Steve, Thank you very much for the compliments.
