  1. Looks good Kalani, when placing the female snaps ensure the bell will be positioned directly next to the shoulder straps once the armor is installed. Our #1 correction suggestion at L2 & L3 is excessive should bell gaps. Unfortunately you wont' know what that gap is until you install the upper portion of the armor and arms. The forearms tug on the biceps and the biceps the bells. This is when you realize if calculations are correct. The offset of the female snap is for two reasons, screen accuracy and the shoulder bell elastic will stretch when the armor is installed. Keep up the great work.
  2. The iComm works with a simple on/off continuity button switch. Sounds like the reed switch is either not working properly or will not work in this application. If the iComm functions correctly with the PTT cable provided then you find a reed switch that functions similar to that.
  3. Hey Rob, sorry for my absence, too busy these days to get to all my posts. It doesn't have to be perfect. If you let the glue dry for a couple days I bet it will come out ok and remain so. Post a updated pic afterwards so we can check it out. Cheers
  4. Measuring continuity 101. 1) Go buy a cheap DVOM (Digital Volt Ohm Meter). Select 20k in the Ohms scale. Turn the meter on. The LCD should display 0 or 1 because the circuit is open. Connect the DVOM leads together, the LCD should now display 001-003 depending on the accuracy of the meter, the circuit is now closed. 2) Now connect the DVOM leads to each side of the reed switch. If you have a normally open switch the LCD should read 0 or 1. Activate the reed switch with a magnet. The LCD should be closed and display should read 001-003. If the readings are correct go to next step. 3) The iComm needs a amp to function correctly. If you have one ensure it is connect correctly. If you don't have one you'll need to buy one. iComms are only guaranteed to work with genuine Aker amps. I sell a couple different versions if you're interested. Hope this helps
  5. The man has some mad skilz.
  6. Looking good Kalani
  7. Thanks for all the picture updates, details like this I didn't have access to at build time. This also is perfect example of how the Hot Toys vest, other builders like to refer to, is incorrect. Thanks again . Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  8. Amazon box of 100 $9.25 https://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Screw-Posts-Chicago-Screws/dp/B003O5GXMM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1466630517&sr=8-1&keywords=3%2F8%22+aluminum+chicago+screws
  9. Ace Hardware $1.35
  10. Oh and the average cost to build one of these packs is around $100
  11. Sorry for the late replies, there are no specific measurements for any part of the backpack. Most of the packs made by your fellow troopers are an interpretation from the game screen shots above . As long as yours is visually close nothing will hold you back at any level of approval. 12. Hey Cody this should help
  13. My tool of choice also, along with an exacto knife and steel straight edge
  14. That's a good question, I bought one also. I'm still looking for clear enough pictures defining how it's mounted. Some believe it's mounted directly to the back of the yoke, I've always thought it was mounted via the unused upper tactical vest straps, though I could be way off base.
  15. Thanks for the props Simon. I was given a dozen or so of the SL20 by a Nifco sales rep. They're too small. At least 1/3 size smaller then what's used on the vest. For the moment, unless I send them to be 3D scanned and printed I'm not sure what to do. Thanks for the help.
  16. The jury is still out. I'm sure once the armor has been inspected there'll be a discussion thread regarding it but at this point I'm not aware of anyone has received a set yet. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  17. If the covers are already off then yes a dremel was my best option because I could better control what I was trying to remove. I'm sure you could do the same with a exacto knife. As Josh stated stay away from acetone. I don't recommend heat either as the plastic around the area could melt. Take your time
  18. Hey Oscar, alright brother let's do this. Thank you for making the requested repairs. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Centurion. Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the rank trooper.
  19. We're unsure why his site comes and goes but he was just up again a couple weeks ago to take orders.
  20. Very nice Jason, looks better than mine haha.
  21. Yea that was kinda of a joke . Though he should get something besides "ATTA BOY"
  22. Maybe we'll give him a EIB and Centurion badges
  23. He's still in business but he just completed another run and it may be a while before he starts another. Until ten there are other options out there, the trooper talk app, iComm and others.
