Billsid's Tk build part 2
ukswrath replied to BILLSID29's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Well not all armor are created equal. Believe it or not but some are worse. To get a straight connecting edge take a look how I assembly a set of thighs with the same issue. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/page-17#entry465032 -
Hey Dave, thank you for applying for EI. Nice to see another HWT entering the ranks. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome and congratulations! . Beautiful job on your build. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. First off again, excellent job on your build, very nice work. In the pursuit of perfection we have only one suggestion and that would be to raise the thighs, and increase the gap between them and the shins. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here, and we have nothing to add. Excellent job on your build Dave, hope to see you at Centurion adding to the HWT squad.

TK8966 Requesting ESB, EIB status. (ATA)

Hey Tye we still need an action shot photo and the another photo of your waist belt but this time a full view showing the drop boxes also. Thanks -
Bummer, sorry to hear that AJ

For the front at minimum I'd install a piece of cover strip on the inside helping to conceal the gap even though it can't been seen with the ammo belt installed. This will also give the weakened area some strength. You'll be double covered . It's perfectly acceptable to trim the rear lower return edge for mobility. If I may add if you're going to do that do it with both legs so that they're uniform. Hope this helps
-
Yea that's a little thick but not a deal breaker as long as everything else around it looks uniform, though I would definitely look for an alternative solution.
-
Excellent! Here on the FISD we encourage everyone to build their armor with Centurion in mind . Larger cover strips in the rear, not recommended however, maybe you can give us an idea on how large is large. In the mean time I would encourage you to take a look at the Centurion applications to see how some of our larger troopers Centurions did theirs. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/

Billsid's Tk build part 2
ukswrath replied to BILLSID29's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hey Bill so trim the ammo belt and forearm like so. As for the biceps, assemble them first, afterwards give them a hot water bath if you choose. Hope this helps brother. -
Well , my first suggestion would have been to connect the front normally, without the gap, then added shims to the rear. That said, you can create a shim/seam in the front lower, however the current setup makes the front return edge appear unusually wide. If you're just shooting for 501st basic you could go with door "B", if you're shooting for EIB or higher go with "A". Let us know if we can be of assistance.

Cover strip coverage areas .

Well the "ROM/FX" start audio is just the board booting up notification. Sounds like the board is constantly rebooting. Not sure why it's doing it with just my speakers. I run the same setup with no issues. Send me a PM and lets see if we can work it out.
-
Hey Ben I don't know the official name is or mfg of the "S" seal. To save yourself a headache I'd contact Paul @ TM and see if he would sell you some. I use Terrell's from ATA on most of my buckets. Regardless who you choose to go with both these guys and others can be found in the "Armor and where to buy it" section. Hope this helps
-
That's odd, Shea you saying you're only having the issue when my hovi tips are plugged in to the ROM/FX?

TK-15245 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion status [SDS] [315]
ukswrath replied to Oki's topic in Request Centurion Status
Welcome Jose and thank you for your Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted.Thank your for making the repairs suggested at EIB. Your armor contains all necessary elements to qualify you for Centurion. Andrew and I would like to congratulate and welcome you. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: If we had any suggestions it would be to keep an eye on your back to kidney gap. It appears to grow with your arms up. Now get out there and make the Empire proud -
TK-82997 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status (Anovos) [701]
ukswrath replied to R2Chris's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Chris, thank you for your EI application, let's get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome and congratulations! . Beautiful job on your build Jochen Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Since this section is used to enhance to overall look of your armor we have a few requests. Anovos is notorious for paint over spray, specifically at the teeth. Were requesting troopers to remove the over spray where the teeth meet the gun line. A little bit of mineral spirits and a Q-tip should do the trick. In some cases in the process too much of the original tooth color can get removed. If that happens you may need to repaint the entire frown. Here's a reference photo While on the subject of the helmet. The ear screws Anovos also uses are incorrect. The correct screws should be "V" head and slotted. These will need to be replaced. Reference photo Your Ab to Kidney is out of alignment. upper return edge should be parallel. You may need to tighten or use an alternative material for connecting the two armor sections. This goes for the right side also. We see you posted a new photo so this is more advisory than a requested repair. Reference photo And finally, as Joseph mentioned you might consider rounding off the top rear thighs to help avoid a pinch point. If you aren't having a issue with it then it's up to you. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have nothing to add here. Excellent job on your build, hope to see you at Centurion. -
Billsid's Tk build part 2
ukswrath replied to BILLSID29's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Looking good Bill keep up the great work . A little advice on the waist belt and ammo box, the 45 angle cut is supposed to meet the outer edge of the cloth belt illustrated in the following photo, a little more trimming should get you close. -
I wasn't insinuating anything lol
