Billsid's Tk build part 2
ukswrath replied to BILLSID29's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hey Bill your TD looks fine. Your tube strips are correct. Regarding the waist belt, as you can see in the following ammo belt photo there's almost no edge outside the boxes and the ammo belt corners are cut 45 degrees to meet the edge of the cloth belt. A screen accurate cloth belt should roughly be 3" wide. Depending what your cloth belt width is trim the ammo belt accordingly. Hope this helps -

TK-30087 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [697]
ukswrath replied to Jochensen's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Jochen, thank you for your patience and EI application, let's do this. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome and congratulations! . Beautiful job on your build Jochen Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. First off again, excellent job on your build, very nice work. In the pursuit of perfection we have a few minor areas we're suggesting to enhance the accuracy and overall look of your armor. The first area would be to reduce the gap between your shoulder bells and shoulder cover strips. Adjusting the connecting strap should do the trick. Here's a reference photo Secondly, again not a huge deal but your TD panel is facing away from your body. It should face more upward. Rolling it back onto the clips should fix this. Also, the screws need to be painted black. They may be now but from the photos posted they still look unpainted. Reference photo And finally you calf cover strips are in danger of getting snagged on something and or the closure opening up during troops. You may have to give them a hot water bath or something similar to get the angle right. Reference photos Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have nothing to add here. Excellent job on your build, hope to see you at Centurion. -
Looks great Reese, yea the brow trim will need to be touched up. Can't wait to see some photos of what the seamed areas now look like.

Hey Daniel, thank you for your EI application, let's get started. Beautiful job on your ATA, very nice work. In the pursuit of perfection we have a few minor areas we're suggesting to enhance the accuracy and overall look of your armor. The first area would be to reduce the gap between your shoulder bells and shoulder cover strips. Adjusting the connecting strap should do the trick. Here's a reference photo And lastly your waist belt is a bit low. It should reside at or just below the ab buttons. Yours isn't bad but worth taking another look at. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have nothing to add here. Hey Thomas, thank you for your EI application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome and congratulations! . Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. First off excellent job on your build, very nice work . In the pursuit of perfection we have a few minor areas we're suggesting to enhance the accuracy and overall look of your armor. The first area would be to reduce the gap between your forearms and biceps. It's should be around 1/2" or so. There are a few ways you can go about this but ultimately how and if you do it is up to you. Here's a reference photo Secondly, again not a huge deal but your waist belt is sitting a bit low. The upper edge of the ammo belt should reside at the lower edge or slightly covering the lowest ab buttons. Reference photo Ab plate buttons. The Ab buttons could stand to be a bit smaller. It isn't a big issue but it's worth mentioning. Reference photo And finally keep an eye on your shoulder bell to chest/back plate gap, as well as the back plate to kidney gap. They're not bad but if you tightened the connecting straps a bit in either area they would look even cleaner. Here's the back to kidney. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have nothing to add here. Yes thank you. Now it's time to find some old DSL space saving filters and get to work. Thanks again -
Nice work Brian

Bummer. Trim the top for height and shape the lower to match the left. You'll need to check you ammo belt also. It may fit different than it was originally designed.

You're good right there. You want to test the voltage at the Velleman PCB terminals -
Well if it's like most armor it's squared off at each end, maybe tapered corners.

Hey thanks Darren I'm going to see if I can refine this. Do you know if there's any significant voltage drop passing through the filter? -
