March 2017 Newsletter - the April/SWCO Edition!
ukswrath replied to Dark CMF's topic in The Newsletter Archive
Excellent as usual This week is going to be AWESOME!!!! -
This is simple if you understand electronic theory, as mentioned in your other thread. Once you understand this the sky is the limit. The key point here is what exactly you plan to run, the voltage input, amps the items draw, how/if the items will interact with each other, etc. If you give us an idea what exactly you're going to run we can better assist you. So far you mentioned fans, anything else? Note, the battery back you've mentioned is quite large and will only fit in your chest plate or elsewhere so you'll have to run a power cord into your helmet.

Hey Ken here's a great place to start looking for all needed, required and other goodies. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/16-ongoing-sales-project-orders/
-
As mentioned above you have a few choices regarding electronics, which by the way are not required but, if pimping your costume is your desire head on over to the sales thread section and start drooling. And by all means if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask someone. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/16-ongoing-sales-project-orders/

TK-31574 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [AP] 711]
ukswrath replied to dclampffer's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Roger that. Well if they're already larger bells than there's not much we can do. We'll talk more when you apply for Centurion -
Looking good Brian, keep up the great work. Though I'd mention something now being it will most likely get brought up if you apply for EIB. The vertical ab button plate should not overlap the raised area it is glued to. Should look more like this.

Hey Jess, thank you for your EI application, let's get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome and congratulations! . Beautiful work on your build Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Since this section is used to enhance to overall look of your armor we have a few requests. Anovos is notorious for paint over spray, specifically at the teeth. Were requesting troopers to remove the over spray where the teeth meet the gun line. A little bit of mineral spirits and a Q-tip should do the trick. In some cases in the process too much of the original tooth color can get removed. If that happens you may need to repaint the entire frown. Here's a reference photo While on the subject of the helmet. The Vcoder paint outline should be a bit more defined. A little Testers glossy black usually does the job. Reference photo And finally with the helmet the tube strips should be a #2 pencil width away from the face. This involves a bit more work as you'll most likely have to remove the old stripes first. There are stencils that your can buy and plenty of tutorials and build threads illustrating how to do this. Reference photo Your left forearm is considerably larger than the right which will require you to resize it so they match. Next up, the posterior connections need to be tightened up a smidgen. The plate is sticking out a bit too far and should be more aligned with the kidney.. Reference photo Closing off the visual enhancements is a few cover strips appear to be extending past the return edge of the armor. This could be a photo issue only but they are indeed too long we're suggesting you trim them back to avoid being snagged on other areas. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. The only are of concern is the CRL states there should be little to no overlap of the back plate to kidney armor. For level three certification (if applicable): Back plate shall have no, or minimal overlap of the kidney plate. Reference photo Your's isn't too bad but worth mentioning none the less. As simple strap adjustment, or pulling the lower armor sections down should remedy the issue. That's it. Again, excellent job on your build, hope to see you at Centurion.

TK-31574 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [AP] 711]

Hey Dave welcome and thank you for your EI application, let's get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome and congratulations! . We know you've put a lot of time and effort into your build and it shows, Beautiful job Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Since this section is used to enhance to overall look of your armor we have a few requests. 1) Shoulder Bell gap to Chest and Back plates. Adjustment needed to reduce the gap. There's probably not much you can do on the lower Bell edge however, it does look like you can tighten up the upper strap. That said, you may want to consider replacing these with some made by RT-Mod or similar, they're designed for slightly larger troopers. Reference photo 2) The shoulder covers need to be shaped. They should curve as you shoulder does and lay flat (or close) on the rear back plate. Hot water bath works beautifully for this type of repair. They should look more like what's seen here. 3) Not a big deal but the right side of your waist belt is sitting lower than your left. Either your mount unattached or you may need to adjust the mount on that side. Reference photos 4) While on the topic of waist belts we suggest you reverse the screws used to secure the holster to the belt. The screw head should be on the armor side. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. Drop box alignment. As per the Level 3 CRL, For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. We're sure yours have only slipped in slightly, but maybe a dab of glue or a small piece of adhesive Velcro will stop them from moving along the belt Reference photo That's it. Excellent job on your build Dave, hope to see you at Centurion. -
Welcome Jeff thank you

And like that we have our first applicant, awesome. Thanks Josh. Once your EIB app is posted it will be official.
