For the record the center Ab button plate return edge is not required at any level of approval. I know the accuracy nuts hate this but it is what it is. IMHO I would rather see a lower profile plate without return edge than one that appears too tall with return edge.
-
My OCD is telling me to have you remove more of the lower return edge. But it's up to you, it has absolutely no bearing on any approvals.

This is where it gets exciting

lol

Not sure why you would want to do this but it is your armor lol

Doesn't have to be perfect

Looking good Jeff

First off I want to echo Jeff's comment Ab to Kidney it's best if you use nylon webbing on the left side, right side make the ab snap functional using elastic or nylon webbing then let the waist belt hold everything in. As for the belt if you have to overlap it that much it sounds like it's too long. That said if you're handy with a sewing machine it relatively easy to fix.

Shoulder bell attachment problems

Hey Tudor this is a situation EVERY troopers deals with. Most of the time it just takes practice. When I build armor for people the arms are one piece connected by elastic, nylon webbing and a single snap. I usually instruct them to assemble the entire armor with the left at connected then slide into the armor from the right side leaving only the right arm, the cod to ab, kidney to ab, chest to back (right side) and the waist belt remaining. Works excellent for 85% of them. -
That is weird. That armor should be perfect height for you

True true, with Hero there's a little grace given

Hey Jeff great questions give a few minutes to answer them all.

TK-14804 ANH Stunt requesting EIB Status (RS) [821]
ukswrath replied to Wallcrawler's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
You can use the same photos if you wish, plus adding any additional you may need for L3. The overall look of your armor was outstanding so the alignment mentioned was more of advisory note than a suggestion to correct. -
Your are correct my good sir. So long as the chest is over the Ab but not covering the first level of buttons below you're golden.

TK-30977 requesting ANH Stunt EIB status(TM) [822]

Hey Tony (great name btw ), welcome to your EIB application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: Looks like all the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Andrew and I would like to welcome you to L2, congratulations. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Beautiful TM armor you have there and awesome job on the assembly. If we had anything to mention it would beto first bring down the right shoulder bell and bicep so that the gap between the bicep and forearm are equal to that of the left arm. Second would be to tighten the back plate to kidney strapping. It's also possible something popped loose here. There should be little to no gap. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. The CRL states: Level three certification (if applicable): Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Prior to applying for Centurion you'll be required to reduce this gap by either tightening the straps to adding shims. Reference photo Thank you for a nice clean build and application. Hope to see you at Centurion. -

Hi Rick, welcome and thank you for your EIB application. Let's take a look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: Looks like all the required submission photos have been posted and your armor displays all necessary element as set out in the level 2 CRL. Andrew and I would like to welcome you to Exper Infantry, congratulations. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Beautiful job on your RS armor, very nice. If we had anything to mention it would be to keep an eye on the Ab to Kidney plate alignment that should be parallel at the top, and the Back to Kidney plate gap which there should be minimal. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. At this time we don't see anything that would hold you back from an L3 badge. Thank you for a nice clean build and application
