I just measured my pipe and it measures 7in in length so maybe the caps will just need to get "mashed" down further? Also in Ukswrath's AM build he had the control panel cut to 4.5 inches or 115mm and the end caps cut to .78 inches or 20 mm. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk

Dang, sorry about that. Yeah CRL says total length is approximately 7.50" and that's for basic approval. Good luck and thanks for doing a detailed lots of pics job for us and I'll be watching! Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk

Should the inner drop box be flush with the edge of the outer? Does it matter much? Here is my current view... Hand sanding is for the birds... Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk -

I need to grab a couple of figures to complete the set. Ten bucks is good. Last I saw at Wal-Mart they had them for 11 and change with a rollback sign attached to them.

Just in case anyone is wondering I purchased one of Mark's untrimmed kits and I was actually surprised at how much of the flashing he actually removes from a lot of the pieces. I had everything rough cut in a couple of hours. I'm not gonna get all Facebook and make it seem like it's running barefooted through a field of daisies. It's still kinda over whelming as all but I saved a couple hundred bucks and got it quicker. I'm taking my time but hurrying up with the build and I'm happy cause the support on this site is great. I'm working it every night, sometimes 30 mins, sometimes 3-4 hours but everyday I look at it coming together and give it a little smirk! At the end of day much like my new friend CommradeDave can attest, our armor will have self inflicted battle wounds that we will be able to share all the stories with our fellow mates and encourage them to go the same route. I'm sure like Tony said, you'll probably need to do some tweeks anyhow on a trimmed out version. Might as well go for the gusto go untrimmed, give Mark some breathing room and let Brattie get closer to getting hers [emoji14] poor lady, she's being a great trooper if you don't know her check out her thread, it's pretty funny! Another new friend airborne trooper mentioned to me recently to not get hung up on perfect, movie armor never was (he didn't really say it like that but that's how I took it) and that alone has allowed me to take it easy on myself and push on! Lastly as the father of a new generation of trooper just mentioned, grab it and jump in. You can do it!! Or not, either way, we will still have your back! Ok, so I feel like the forearms need extra love that I am not willing to give them right now so I am starting from the bottom up. So tonight I work on the shins! -
Years back when I was looking for a "unique" online name that wasn't my classic first name first letter of last name and year born I was looking around my office trying to find something that would inspire me. As a fan of sci-fi I started to collect wind up robots. When I looked at my desk this little red robot had the markings on it's chest and I ran with it. I added the bot to the end to make it long enough for most sites. Zv288bot aka jorgem72 aka Jorge (preferred to be pronounced George).

Alrighty now... With the exception on wiring for fans and installing the hard hat liner I'm calling this done. Some bat's can fly in and out of the back side ears but hey, they keep mosquitoes away. Now the difficult part, the rest. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk -

Actually I forgot about the vocoder part so really it's more than 40%! Now I am thinking more like 47.7% hand painted. [emoji14] Bro, your armor looks so cool and shiny in your pics. Totally not giving yourself enough credit. Also I had my first boo boo last night. When I was going to rough cut the second ear for whatever reason I grabbed the ear that I already trimmed and cut a line across the top of the ear. I'm gonna ABS paste it or maybe just leave it.
