  6. Hey Harrt, from what I can see, looks like some more trimming is required on The lid, and may have riveted a little high and far out...I would grab a set of vise grips grip the shop end of the rivet..to keep it from spinning, and try to gently drill the outer head off . There is a few assembly how to's here in the forums. Good luck sir!! Hope I was of help. Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2
  7. WOW!! Very nice...your right "Easy" to watch HIM do it fantastic work! Quite a skill set there!
  8. Didn't get to SteelCity con but managed to help out with Toys for Tots...it was a great day!! General_Fidelis was a great inspiration to get wrapped in plastic!!!! Also a good friends interpretation of a Darth Maul Fett crossover ...it's good to hang out with people that are into our hobby!!! In My Humble Opinion..
  9. CRL! CRL! CRL! I'm guessing even in a galaxy far far away they had that ONE guy...TK- forcechoke return to your duty station, this trash isn't going to compact itself!!! Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Alex welcome to the world of plastic sucking fun might take a look at the wood frame for holding the plastic, seal up the seams with some double bubble (epoxy) the vacuum will escape through the un-joined 2x4's? (looks like in the pic)...WARNING it's like a drug...the better results you get... the more you want ..started out with a vacuum cleaner, and the oven ,then scavenged a toaster oven, (for the elements) then another, then went to a vacuum pump 8cfm and a 10 gal air tank used for surge, then...the gauges and regulators...then another tank, now I'm introducing compressed air to aid in releasing the mold, but what a ride.. like Walt says "It costs a lot of money to do it. And it is a skill that takes time and lots of plastic thaEverythingoes to the trash...... Then the molds...time and money there....and just when you think your done....more time" here's a link to pic up hobbyist amounts of plastic http://www.widgetworksunlimited.com/Thermoform_Plastic_Sheets_s/36.htm Good luck hope you get back to it soon
  11. Thanks for the good feedback, I can't say I agree with the analogy, but I understand it's meaning and AGREE 100%. example, you assemble a troopmaster (insert trade mark here) and another person assembles a troopmaster they will still look like troopmaster when they are finished, painted different, decals..etc. Two people can do the exact same pep file(fiberglass and bondo method) and have completely different results so much so that you cannot identify the original file used in some cases. Is this an excuse to recast? NO!! I have respect for all the talented people who make this hobby so great!! Anyone who is making a profit from any of this is where the "re-caster" term should be exercised in my opinion. I have never made money off what isn't mine ..haven't made money at all...lol mostly loose money. I do it because I love it point blank.
  12. Kevin, you do such Fantastic work!! loved your Imp Driver... just fantastic! just recently started watching SWR the troopers are different but still cool, I didn't like them at first but after watching the show ..they have grown on me. Still love the old school, but die hard enough to love the new stuff as well. I'd take one for the collection for sure!!
  13. Hey thanks for starting this thread, I've recently started making 3d art currently working on some Star wars rebels stuff, I've noticed on the RPF one member in particular Firefek (think that's the name) charges you to download his pep files, PDO format, and he does incredible work!! would I be wrong in assuming that if he charges to down load the files permission is implied?
  14. Thanks for the kind words, got the screws painted.....lol and yes sir!!! GREAT PULLS!! Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2

Had to share this, I went into the local auto parts store, to get some hose for the right side of the mask, took the mask with me...why not just measure it and tell him the size you need ...you ask?...BECAUSE !!!I'm a tad bit ashamed, but I was proud and wanted to show it off..lol and the counterperson says...."what is that a STORMTROOPER" my mouth just Dropped...lol people
  20. from what I've read these are only some of the "variants" of storm troopers in 7, rumored to be a black and chrome trooper as well...one of which will be stealth...invisible?
