Nice Job!!!1
you should be done very soon.
And yes, cap rivets for the ammo pack was used, but mine were not going in properly so i used split rivets (you cant really tell)
Look good though....
lets see some fittings.
-
The missing photos have been already stated.
My only armor critique would be to watch your side gaps, they look a little big.
Good Luck Trooper!
-
Great Job...
also keep in mind to make sure for submission photos that your kidney plate and abdominal plate are aligned.
Good Luck!
-
I believe everything has been mentioned, just the missing pictures and the shoulder bell comment.
Good Luck on your submission.
Nice job...

You may have cut a tiny bit too much from the ammo pack, but you should be fine.
Remember, the ammo pack is applied with just split rivets (1 on each side painted white). No glue, it should no be stuck on.
-
the inside is completely up to you.
-
Looking good.
I agree, the black series buckets are way too big... definitely makes the armor looks funny on you.
As far as the ab "buttons" they look good to me.
Keep in mind, that if you wish to go to Centurion Standards:
Abdomen armor buttons are integrated and painted directly on the armor.
- No separate buttons are allowed.
Just keep that in mind if you wish to shoot for more screen accurate buttons.
Other than that, keep up the good work.

the key is adjust the shoulder straps to your height. Since that is what creates the proper fitting from the top down, then if you have any gap between the back and kidney, just make the straps a little longer to decrease gap.
Again, the videos i provided should elude to that.

TK1636 has some great tutorials for the full build and modifications online on youtube:

He also walks you through dealing and making perfect shims on your torso

Looking good!!!
Nice job, i'm def enjoying the progress.
-
looks like you are on track... just use the arms to get a feel for it and then tackle everything full force.
the most difficult part for you will be the shim on your side abs.
i'll keep an eye out, good luck.
Hopefully you can make it by the movie premiere.

thats what i thought! nice job!

I'm not sure if it is due to the mirror reflection side confusing me, but the rivets are meant to be only on the left side of the armor.
The right side is secure through the inside. All you are suppose to see is the floating Han Snap.
Just for a sanity check can you make sure you did it correctly lol...

It may have to be issued by Andrew or Sly since they are overseeing and making final say on EIB/Centurion Approval.
We need to see if they get included in this thread.

Yea, same thing happened to me when i first built my bucket.
The ears swap sides fairly easily.
Glad the fellow troopers pointed that out. better to catch that early lol.

Starting to get stress cracks along the edges of the arm area of the chest armor. I epoxied a plastic strip along the edge to hold the cracks shut and prevent them from getting longer / more numerous. The extra plastic strip is on the inside of the return edge. E6000 would be too flexible for this.

Damn you're thin lol...
Should be an easy approval. Good Luck!

Congrats...nice job

Is there wiggle room in when I can remove the clamps for the E6000? Or must I wait the gosh awful 24 hours?
there is some wiggle room; but if you want it to be perfect then the longer the better for E6000.
I found that about 12 hours does suffice, but again the longer the better. it does say 24 is ideal.
