Welcome aboard Natalie!
always happy getting new recruits; you will find that all the fellow troopers here are very helpful.
Where are you located. This will help us point you in the right direction of which squad to reach out to and get you in touch with your group XO to move things along.

Ah okay, thanks for the heads up about the drop boxes! Now, for the decals, are you talking about just the dots or do you mean for all decals?
I'm talking about all of them. Hand painted always looks more authentic. But completely up to you bud.

Looking good Nate.
Build is coming along.
BTW the drop boxes are suppose to be somewhere in the range of 15 mm thick.
Its all coming along though; hit me up if you have any questions.
Also,
i saw you wrote that you may use the decals provided; if possible i suggest to try to paint instead of using decals. Makes a huge difference and gives a more authentic look.

seems like you have some good feedback over here
i hate removing rivets too!
-
oh and strap from bicep to forearm is not mandatory, but definitely suggested.
If it makes any difference, in the movies they had that connection strap.
-
lol you all have such different body types lol. Lots of different manipulations needed for each of you, for different reasons.
Overall though, it seems like you guys have made HUGE progress and are almost there.
So much plastic!!!!!!

Congrats bud! Well deserved

Only thing to add is make sure you paint the rivets on the ammo pack on your knee white.
-
Looking good for submission.
If any critique I can give is:
1. your left shoulder could be pulled it a little tighter to match the right
2. your ab/kidney rivets look like they need to be retouched with white paint
3. the screws on the TD need to be pan headed, not flat.
good luck trooper

Someone asked me this question at a convention recently because the wanted to get involved with the 501st and I'll answer it the same.
Other then our love for Star Wars, We get to dress up as our favorite character to help people. Sometimes its to raise money but mostly we get to lift someones spirit.
Love this. You have my vote lol

I could not have said it better than what Joseph wrote above. I feel exactly the same way as he does.
At the end of the day you have to choose the armor that makes sense for you and whatever situation you feel would be best for you.
You have all the information available at ur fingertips here on this forum.
-
Lots of good info here. Just be weary of you ultimate goal. That will be crucial when making your decision. Good luck! At the end of the day you have to do what makes you happy
-
Welcome. Have fun on your TD build. Enjoy the process.

Welcome aboard!!!

You should be jealous. But u guys are almost there. Looking great so far, make sure you cut the extra part of the cover strip above the thighs. I def agree though to make sure you build and have the final suit up before you make any guys/adjustments to the Amor. But great progress. I better see u suited up at the marlins game!
-
The armor looks great. Welcome aboard.
-
Exactly. In theory only the vocoder and drown need to be painted, the rest could be stickers that emulate a hand painted look for the traps, stripes, etc. but most people hand paint the details. Especially for centurion. But the armor itself comes perfectly white. No need to touch that up
-
Welcome to the 501st. Yes it's the details that are crucial for centurion as you see. Justjoseph should have anything you need for the final push
-
Welcome aboard. I see you have already started doing your research. As you can see the new FO troopers have slight changes, so you need to decide which troopers on which movie you want to finally do.
Everyone here will be more than willing to help.
Good luck.
And yes, I may reach out to u for Disney needs in the future lol. I live in Miami so me and the Fam goes often. We're passholders lol
-
Glad to have you back. I'll keep an eye out for that boba build on he bounty hunter page as well.
Always glad to have more TKs in the ranks though. Good luck
