  1. Welcome to the FISD. I am going to echo a lot of fellow troopers here and say that just make sure you research as much as possible. There are some armors out there that are originally designed for larger guys, but at the end of the day you can always modify any armor to fit your body.

    good luck.

Welcome to the FISD, Dennis, and congrats on your Big Brown Box day!  There are many great Anovos build threads available here, but the one I would especially follow is by Tony (ukswrath), (link below).

Yeah, there have been a few comments about their buckets being a bit wonky, but so were the originals to a degree and you will be fine.

The rivets that come with that kit are fine and completely acceptable all the way to Centurion (which I hope you will be aiming for).  The Velcro on the other hand... I personally don't recommend it, and would go with the snap system used by most of us.  Something I would also suggest ditching is the canvas belt that is included.  It is very flimsy and not of the best quality to say the least.  Their holster is top-notch, strangely enough.

Another thing you can do is check out some of the approved Centurion submissions in the Advanced Tactics section.  There are Troopers of all shapes and sizes that have reached level 3 and this will give you an idea of what it takes to get closer to screen accuracy with less effort than you may think.

Here are some links that may help:

    Advanced Tactics submission thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/

A great place to get a quality canvas belt:  http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19803-fs-white-canvas-belts/

    Supply list:  http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/

I would get in touch with the Florida Garrison:  http://www.fl501st.com/boards/viewforum.php?f=8

Also, you should PM David, (iLLuSiOnZ_09) who is the Imperial Attache for the Everglades Squad.  He can be a great deal of help with getting you going.

Be sure to ask for any help you may need, and best of luck on your white armor journey!

Thanks for the shout out. Yes I have been talking to Dennis through text and phone and have been helping him along the way. Thanks for everyone here stepping in and helping a fellow Floridian lol.

  3. Great job on that armor, Francisco! One thing I noticed are that you should raise your ABS belt in the front. The top of it should touch the bottom of the ab button panel (or even overlap it a bit), which is an easy fix. Not sure if this will be an issue, but you have 10 tube stripes on the right side, and 12 on the left. SUPER nice job on those ab/kidney connections!!!!

For Centurion (which I hope you will be aiming for after EIB) you will need to bring the shoulder bells in to where they touch or are very close to the shoulder straps and move the drop boxes out to where the outside edge is lined up with the outside of the ABS belt. Both easy fixes!

Lastly you are missing some required photos:

    1. Interior strapping

    2. Full front, arms at side.

    3. Full back, arms at side

    4. Helmet (front)

    5. Helmet (back)

    6. Hovi-tip detail

    7. Right side (arms raised)

    8. Cod attachment (You already have the butt attachment photo).

    9. Neck seal

    10. Action shot

Here is a link to the EIB photo checklist: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22604-expert-infantry-application-photo-checklist/

You should get those photos added, and then the DOs (Deployment Officers) can get your approval started. Best of luck, and I look forward seeing you at EIB, and then onto Centurion!

Exactly what Joseph said. On point.

The only thing I would add as well is the detail on the hovi mic. The inside and outside tips should be white. It looks like they are solid black everywhere. Just a small detail tho.

Also, you need to show the back detail of the thermal detonator.

Good luck with your submission. Nice job

  4. I guesss the fastest answer is that the thighs need to be sealed with the cover strips. Since we shoot for movie accuracy, that's how it was done. There is leniency for the calves using Velcro (most ppl use it, including me) but even in the movies they used the bra hooks and elastic method. <br><br>

So unfortunately, keep at it the way your doing it.

  5. Thanks for reviewing David.

Depends on my trooping parameters.  If I will troop in confined spaces (hospital with corridors and lots of IV lines that will tangle my DLT19) then I prefer my E11.  If we have guest HWT/Sandy troopers from neigboring countries and they cannot bring their blasters through customs, then I would lend them my DLT19 and I use my E11.  One of the benefits of having multiple weapons.  And I believe in karma too... when I trooped in Legoland Malaysia last 13-14 May 2017 and could not bring my E11 through customs (recommended by invitee not to bring replica/toy gun), a trooper there lent me his E11 while he used his DLT19.

    Cheers,

    Hubert

    Nice thats a great idea.

Thats the whole point right, troopers helping troopers.

    Again, great job Hubert!
