Congrats and welcome!

Dave, you are missing a couple pictures:
a picture of the back of the TD to show the screws/clips
an action shot pic
close up pic of the ab buttons details
cod/butt snap/rivet connection
Extra enhances to the armor:
the cod rivet should not be painted white
you may also want to tighten up the shoulder bells closer to your traps
also, the shims on your ab/kidney connection should be seamless
Good luck bud, U.K. and Sly should be with you soon enough; it looks like they are backed up a bit with the holidays.
-
Andrew highlighted the shoulder issue.
The only other feedback i have to enhance your build is painting the TD screws black, inside of mic tips should be white, and be careful with the overlap of the kidney/ab plate on your right side.
Good Luck on your submission.

Nice Job Trooper.
the only critique i can give you is:
1. try to tighten up your shoulder bells closer to your traps
2. change the TD screws to the correct type
3. inside and edge of mic tips should be white
Good Luck...

nice Job on your armor.
i think the button issue has been mentioned already.
should be a quick approval! Good Luck...

I see Andrew already gave you the heads up to remove the paint from the cod/butt plate snap and rivet.
Also keep, not that it will affect your EI submission, but you should consider a couple things in the future (I'm sure Andrew will touch base on this)
1. Use some epoxy or ABS paste on your kidney shims to make sure the additions are seamless
2. Change the TD screws to the correct screws and paint them black
3. The inside of the mic tips should be white
4. Tighten the straps from your back to your kidney to close the gap a bit
5. Based on the pic, it looks like your right shoulder flares out a bit, make sure it is secured just like your left shoulder bell
Other than that i think you did a great job!
good luck trooper....

Welcome to the FISD... have fun!

A little over 2 hours after I got to the front of the line. Beats working, though! You may even have yours today, Taylor, since you are so close!
Now that's dedication. Thanks for your hard work Joseph...

It is truly an honor to be part of this detachment.
the stormtrooper detachment is a group of selfless, innovative, and organized people.
Amazing job to everyone that has joined, and a big shout out to those of you that created this.
I have only been on for the last couple of years, but as you mentioned, i look forward to seeing the progression to the next 10 years.

Nice job bells, i see you are on your way to getting everything to centurion standards.
The feedback i can give you are 3 things:
1. Shorten the shoulder bells straps to bring them closer to your body. (shorten the gap)
Also, bicep hooks may help the shoulders from moving around.
2. You may need about a 2 inch shim on your right ab/kidney connection to close the gap created.
3. For EIB approval you will need a picture of your cod/butt plate snaps and rivet.
Not sure if anyone sees anything else, you are well on your way, your armor looks great. Nice Job!

just make sure that you create a seamless look when creating your shims.

1.) For the TD, is it safe to assume the gray paint is humbrol #5 gray, just like the traps, frown?
Any gray will work. I bought the pipe from the home improvement store gray already so i didn't have to paint it.
You can definitely use your humbrol paint tho

lol... did you just give up on the thread.

Align the bottoms, the top front will be covered by the strips and wont be noticeable, once you glue the front align the back as much as possible, the original had the same issues.

Exactly!

Trial fit. Difficult to take picture while fully suited in armor. Will get another person to take picture for me next time.
Lmfao that is an understatement. Trooper selfies are definitely rare lol

With the Hov Tips are you referring to the edge around the screen?
yes...minor detail.
-
Nice Job!
A couple small critiques for your build:
- Paint the screws on the TD black (you may also want to change the kind of screw as well)
- Please show the inside/outside of the snaps of the butt plate, you may have put them inside out.
- the tip of the mic tips should be white.
I don't believe any of this will affect your submission for EIB, however, its something to look at.
Good Luck with your submission!

Yeah, and I would suspect the plastic handguards have a greater risk of cracking given that they would not have as much flex.
not necessarily. Its just easier and cheaper to mass produce the plastic ones which is why they do them for the kits.
The handguards are the least likely things to crack.
