  1. at least it's not the original FX bucket :D

So I think if you correct some details it might even be approvable...

Here is a comparison shot of the old FX helmet to a helmet with regular shape:

The armor itself is definitely a FX recast and looks exactly like the one I've been wearing for the last few years. It has no return edge, wrong detailed thermaldetonator and abdomenplate, a very long chestplate and very wide shoulder bells. But all this is usual for FX armors. The problem with specificly this armor on your pictures is the knee ammo belt and the belt section, both are trimmed too much on the sides.

The rest of the armor doesn't look like it has been trimmed too much. This is how FX armor looks like.

To get this back in mind: FX armor was once the backbone of the legion. It is still approvable. It might be some more work than usual, but it's far from impossible.

Sure, armor kits from other (vetted) makers look much better and are more accurate, but since he already bought that kit, you will have to live with it, right? Try to make the best out of it. And try to be constructive, not repellent.

I got overenthusiastic a few weeks ago, reading and clicking Like on things I liked. I ran into the same limit, didn't concern myself with it too much. And you're right. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Wait until after the elections to change that one minor parameter that brings the whole site crashing down into a writhing pile of bits. :P

    By the way. What's that?

    I was not a member in 2016.

I think you mean the supporter badge, that now shows 2018? :D
This is supposed to be only for those guys who gave some of their cash to our server funding. Somehow every member is now a supporter by default. We'll be updating this, but as you can think of.... ... after the elections ;)

  3. People I helped on their armor builds, that are now EIB/Centurion:

    TK-14469 Sascha Raabe @Darth Raveen

I guess we'll never forget the mess I created with your belt ;) Also helped to reinforce the broken brackets and some other minor issues before applying EIB & Centurion. (definitely took us more than 30 minutes hands-on, I even had to stay overnight )

    TK-30087 Jochen Till @Jochensen

We literally spent days in his office to build that armor. And just because we were in mood, we built a second one within 10 days only for the celebration orlando Troopathalon contest :D (that second one was buildt to dress as quickly as possible, most of the strapping using magnets)

    [more to come....]

Got some more troopers out there I helped a lot with their build, but they still have to make their EIB applications. (TK-55015, TK-50893, TK-11699, ...)

  4. As Brien already mentioned, there are some minor details to get to higher levels that need adjustment.

For the approval process with your local GML, fixing the lose belt should be fine. If you do all those adjustments now it is fine and mostly appreciated, but not necessary for basic approal. ;)

But it's only a small step to get Expert Infantry and Centurion Status with that armor. You've done excellent work, building it! :)

Good luck with your approval and hope to see you soon in the advanced tactics section!

  5. Herzlich Willkommen Stefanie!

  6. Haha, lol - thanks for the review :D

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I won't clean that helmet head-bump. It's my distinctive mark on every photo and everyone of my squad knows exactly that this is my helmet. ;)

I've got a white sharpie, so the screws are a 5 minutes fix :)

    Same for the eye trimming.

I'll have my first troop in that armor on saturday and will have a look on the posterior and shoulder strapping. Afterwards, you'll get new pics for centurion application!
