Yep, this is indeed a FX armor. But it's in a really bad shape. Don't buy it. check out the Getting Started Section.

This was my question too. What is the biggest difference between them? I've been looking at the various specs for each but only notice little subtle differences. Hand guard shapes, holster strap color etc. Is that it or am I missing something? In theory shouldn't they all be the same. I understand from a movie production stance the films were made several years apart and costumes had to be remade and/or fixed/updated. What are the most noticeable differences? Reading the requirements for the builds the stuff actually seems generic. Is it just these little things you guys notice to tell ANH S apart from a ROTJ armor? TIA.
The differences between ANH-S, ANH-H and ESB are very subtile, yes. some minor differences on the helmet, the holster and the handguards - that's it.
But between those and the ROTJ armor, there is a larger step. The ROTJ armor has a U-shaped trim over all edges of the armor.
But stick to joseph's links. Check out the vetted makers, compare them and chose the one that is best for you!

Hello Jess and welcome to the FISD!
We're not discriminating anybody because of their height, weight or whatever. So if you wish to do a Captain Phasma - feel free to start!
It could be difficult to trim a kit to your size, but to be honest I could be wrong about that - I'll leave this question to the First Order specialists
(also I have no clue about your size, we use the metric system here in Germany - is 5'7 tall?)
I also recommend you to check out the "Getting Started" Section, where it's clearly declared whom to avoid when buying stuff.
Best Regards,Danny

There is a member selling a Sandtrooper outfit online here at the moment, trying to get in touch with him on it but no response yet. Thinking getting from here direct is a good option and save time and problems but i have been looking and there is so many options and variations out there, hard to keep up.
Would be good to find a kit no one goes for or hasn't tried yet?
It's always a risk and varies from case to case. Do you have a link to the kit, you're thinking of?
But I think you will rather be succesfull to contact the member via the MEPD, since this would be the sandtrooper detachment
Before you buy, ask what glue was used. If it's E-6000 you're good to go. You can freeze it to open it up again. (And you'll have to open it up, unless you two are clones or twins!)

You'll also get the detachment acces as a TK - so even more stuff to read Lots of useful information in there. Where did you get your armor? Is it walt's?

Hello and welcome to the FISD! Good to know, that you already contacted your local garrison. This is an important step to become a member. Feel free to ask any questions.

Welcome to the FISD!
This is definitely the place to be
Feel free to ask any questions and have fun on your build! -
Welcome to the FISD! Feel free to ask any questions about any concerns. I also hardly recommend you to get in touch with your local imperial attaché

Congratulations and welcome to the FISD!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! I appreciate all that I've been able to learn from the boards already, and I know that everyone here will be a huge help going forward. It's pretty awesome how welcoming and helpful everyone is, particularly since we all started in basically the same place.
I'll definitely connect as best I can with the folks here in Germany. I'm looking forward to starting my build thread...
Still lots of people don't come here (They just don't know about the FISD), so you've made the first step into the right direction
I'm sure, I can find a member near you, who's willing to help you out in any cases. If you don't mind - pm me your address, then I'll let you know if there's someone in the neighbourhood Our Garrison is the biggest Garrison in the world, so it shouldn't be a big issue to get in touch with some of the members
Again welcome, I hope I can help you in any case.

Welcome George! You live in the territory of the South Western Squad (SWSQ) arma candida in Germany. Unfortunately we don't have an imperial attaché there. But you can ask any of the other attachés (like me -> I'm in Bavaria) if you have any issue. I recommend you to first check out the "Getting Started" Section. Good luck for your build and never hesitate to ask any questions.

I've had my experiences with that armor (good and bad.) and wrote a report about it here:

Since there are lots of discussions going on about TKUK atm - here and on facebook, I will tell you about my experiences with the armor and the makers.
At first I want to set clear that TKarmor.com (AM) is not the same as TKarmour.com (TKUK)
But TKarmour.com (alias TKUK) is the same as stormtroopercity.com
To begin my story: Nearly 6 years ago, I purchased a TK ANH Stunt armor on eBay. Unfortunately I didn't know the FISD by then and I had no experience at all. So I made the mistake, bought it and later found out, that it was an armor FX recast. There was a print on the BBB, saying it comes from "stormtroopercity.com"
After I discovered the 501st Legion (especially the German Garrison and the FISD), I got some help here'n'there to build my kit up to approval. (of course I had to get another helmet...)
Here in the FISD I asked whether anyone knew the maker and Joseph from Stormtroopercity reported to me, that he and his friend David (Ashcroft) are making that armor. By then, they already had developed a new mold for the helmet and he was willing to send me one for free.
Not only that - they were also making their own molds to improve the armor (that's what he told me).At that time, one of my friends ordered the Stormtroopercity/TKUK armor. It was a kind of "in between development version". I compared it to my Anovos kit and my old FX armor and I was impressed about the development.
(FX - TKUK - Anovos)
So I encouraged him to make more changes to make it a reputable, good looking armor.
That's what they did. Unfortunately accuracy is still not top notch and quality got lost due to thinner material. Two other friends ordered the actual kit, TKUK is selling right now - The armor is looking good, but you can clearly feel the lack of quality. Pulls are not clean, some parts are too thin, so they easily crack and so on.
I've heard people rumoring, this was an SDS recast (because of the long chest plate...) - what I have been told, it is not. It's an evolved FX kit with losing quality on the material, but gaining accuracy and for a cheap price. Here is a comparison of the 3 different abplates they've sold over the time:
apart from the missing buttons it's hard to find similarities with the FX and the new armorSo in my opinion it's not a rip off if you know what you buy: It's definitely not high quality, but cheap and to be honest - good enough for approval (Higher ranks are another topic....) Anyhow your goal should be a high end armor, so I personally would chose other makers nowadays.
If anyone knows better about that armor or the makers, please let me know! I'm not the wisest man in the universe and I'm willing to learn.
Here is a shoot of one of my friends in his TKUK armor.
P.S. I'm not related to TKUK nore am I working for them - I didn't even meet them in person, we just messaged here on the FISD... But I've made my experiences (good and bad) and want to share them with you guys.
Best regards, DannyTK-55550

Welcome to the FISD,
feel free to ask any questions that may come up!
At first I recommend you to read the pinned topics in the Getting Started Section. They provide most of the information to... well.. get started

I ordered metric slotted countersunk screws (size M3) - easy to find online.
