AM 2.0 shin looking weird or is it just me.
TyWebb1075 replied to TX-7365's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Interestingly enough, a few years ago, several of us AM 2.0 owners were mistakenly sent 2 of the same shin. We scratched our collective heads too trying to figure it out. Both you guys look good though. Those appear correct. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -

Fitting a TK kit to a female body...
TyWebb1075 replied to Naglium's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Hey Gordon. The AM 2.0 butt plate may offer more coverage area. I'm not sure how close the white matches with Anovos though. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -
AM shins should work and wouldn't need shimming. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

Any really tall/big stormtroopers?
TyWebb1075 replied to JimSchultze's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
TM XL on left, AM 2.0 on right The 2" makes a huge difference if you are around 6'2" or taller. And the white is almost an exact match if you are making a clean TK in my opinion. AM is roomier if you have big calves. I have a tough time closing the TM shins on my calves but you can't beat the look they provide. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -
Any really tall/big stormtroopers?
TyWebb1075 replied to JimSchultze's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Jim, I'm 6'3" & 270 lbs, linebacker build, and went with an AM 2.0 kit. I had to add shims to the kidney and had to replace my shins with TM extra long shins as there was just too much black showing between thighs and shins. AM 2.0 is not as accurate as RT-MOD, but is definitely a bit bigger. I have replaced my chest/back plates with RT-MOD plates for accuracy reasons and can confirm that AM is bigger. I'm not sure any kit will fit your height without it looking off, maybe someone can chime in with suggestions for modifications... Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -

Look for "Cat Crap" on Amazon. Wipe on, wipe off. That will help, but only so much. You definitely need fans to stay cool and keep those lenses clear. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -

Could you post the banner of the Sandy with the T21 without the wording/logo overlay? I'd like to make it my main FB pic. Awesome work by the way!!! Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -

Raise your belt up about 4 inches. If you choose not to use snaps to secure the belt to the ab plate, industrial velcro works very well. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -

Regarding your chest plate, notice how it covers your top ab button? You're going to want to raise your plate higher and possibly trim the bottom off and create a new return edge. Check out the TD CRL pic for reference. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -

I have seen some people secure their shins to their boots via a piece of elastic sewn to the front boot loop and the other end with a snap on the inside front of the shins. I think there is a thread on here somewhere showing how that is done. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -
Raising brow height - Stunt Helmet
TyWebb1075 replied to joebee's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
^^ This will work as well. Just keep in mind that by pulling the faceplate down, you are slightly changing the size of the opening that your head goes in. I tried this first and my big head wouldn't fit so I cut the cap instead. Let us know how it works out. Good luck. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -
Raising brow height - Stunt Helmet
TyWebb1075 replied to joebee's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
I used a Dremel with a cutting disc. Mark out with pencil the height you want the brow then cut slowly. Sand it down after and attach the trim. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -

TK-73268 requesting ANH Stunt EIB status [AM2.0]
TyWebb1075 replied to SeanTX's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Regarding the gap between the thighs and shins in the back that you mentioned, I don't think you'll be able to raise the shins any higher without it looking weird around your ankles. You could possibly lower your thighs a bit to close your gap. You can have a bit more black showing between your cod and thighs and still be okay. Another option is to pick up a set of extra long shins from TM which are a few inches longer than what you have now. That's what I did. I'm 6'3" and my AM shins were too short. The TM and AM whites match very well too. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk -

Leave enough room so you are comfortable and can move around. Biceps for example, you should have enough room be able to flex your bicep. It's trial and error I'm finding. Tape the pieces together, put it on, mark them where it looks and feels good before you cut.
