  1. As I've stated in my buildthread earlier, I'm having problems finding sheets of ABS over here to fill in the sidegap. So I was just wondering if plain, white leather can be used? This is the last of two things I'm missing to get my TK-number and Elite status as far as I know:) (If anyone is sitting on an accurate holster that fits the Hasbro, please PM me, the FX one isn't good for anything but wastebasket-filler).
  2. If you ask me...sure. Why not? As long as you keep a return edge. Try taking of just a little at a time to achive a comfortable wear. I would at least do something like that, but that's just my opinion though.
  3. I used the iron at 200C (or 392F). You also ned to have the sock on (which will reduce the temperature a few degrees). It takes a little time to heat the plastic, but it worked great for me. I have done the mod on the shoulders, butt, chest and kidney so far. Here are the shoulders: Here's the chest: Hope it helps!
  4. Well said! I second that.
  5. I might be mistaken, but sanding it will still give you a rough surface for the next layer of glue no matter what.
  6. I'll see if I can get some pics when playing through my second time :-)
  7. Here's what I did with the dropboxes: ----------- I'm gonna make the TD to hold items as well.
  8. Thanks! Here's the lates update. Just inches away from sending in my application now. Just realized I have to get a holster that fits the Hasbro E-11, since the one that comes with the FX is the wrong way around and not built for the short barrel on the Hasbro. But here's the belt. Three snaps holding the canvas to the ammobelt, and I'm considering adding a snap or two to the lower ab so it'll stay in place. Had to remove the velcro to shorten the belt, so I still have to get it dewn back on: Here's the dropbox mod, allowing my to have my cellphone and cards in them. Just superglued some elastic to it: And here's the TD primed. Still need to get moneyclips for it though:
  9. SOHNDANN opens all playable costumes, as far as I can remember you can play as all the different troopers, I'll doublecheck when I get home. Here's the direct link: ----------
  10. I just made the dropboxes into cellphone and cardholders yesterday, I'll post some pics of them later tonight.
  11. Congrats on getting the MR, it's can be made to look really good. You've got tons of WIP-threads to hellp you trick it out to the max here on the forum. Looking forward to seeing the progress!
  12. www.cheatplanet.com Open all characters....
  13. Try sign makers and stuff. I know there´s one place in Oslo that has some wort of outlet with some plastic (they only take cash). Other than that I´ve found it really hard to get sheets of ABS over here, but a place called Norwegian Modellers sells small sheets (1mm thick though). They´re located in Tønsberg but have a webshop and provide excellent service.
  14. Or Testors 1138 (which is kinda similar to HUmbrol #5). I found Testors easier to get a hold of in Norway...
  15. It kinda looks like an FX/Don Post hybrid:)

    Just Curious...

Since I'm not in the US and can't really vote I still go for Palpatine. He's got the guts for the job! He'll sort everything out.
  17. Wow, this is really awesome! Thanks for making these flicks Jez!
  18. When I tried it on with the belt it all looked better, I've trimmed some off the butt and kidney so it's all good now. I'm getting a belt in the mail tomorrow (hopefully), so I'll post some pics tomorrow or during the weekend. Also ordering my calfs, biceps and forearms from RT tomorrow.
  19. Thanks Noel. I used a hobbyiron to give the return edge on everything. I cut off something between 0.5-1cm around the bell to make it smaller, used a heatgun to bend it a little to make it sit more snug on the shoulders (and a little more accurate), and finally made the return edge.
  20. You can use epoxy (I did), works great. None of my trims survived, but I bought from someone here. I think there are several people here selling trims. For some reason I really can't remember who I bought it from though. Been buying so many different thing of late. Do a search for necktrim or browtrim and you'll find some threads on it.
  21. I used the S-trim as is. Didn't remove anything and I think it looks great that way. Haven't even had to glue it.
  22. Thanks Mads! It also, suddenly dawned on me, that some of the parts might be sitting a bit weird due to the fact that I'm not wearing the belt in the first place as well.
