  1. Hi Zixx, thanks fo rthe feedback, here are my comments: Left shoulder bell is formed a little narrower the the right - cutting off more return edge will do nothing to remedy the sticking out - it's just a tighter curve. Side gaps are 1" - I was told these are most probably acceptable for EIB & Centurion. If not, I will not shim as no shims were seen in the movies. S Trim - small gap - I wasn't aware this was an issue - certainly not on any CRL. Yellowish hovis - The resin is like that - I can't disassemble them. Again, not on any CRL Canvas Belt is 3 1/4" wide - Rebelscum makes these for very many UKG troopers and never had any problems. (see attached pic below) Holster (& belt) was put together to conform with pics of 1976 screen used belt from Billhag, UKG armourer. TD - currently I have silver Rivets. I read about slotted screws, but again, this detail 9and placement of clips) is not mentioned on the CRL 'Han' snap - pretty hard to remedy without damaging the armour - is it *really* that bad? Once again, thanks for the pointers. I feel that this appplication is likely to be withdrawn in all honesty. It's not something I can easily afford. 3.25" belt:

  3. Hi, Requesting board access now that my 501st status is active. UKGarrison TK 2135 - Terry Cooper http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=9891
  4. Hi, can you please add me so that I can go for EIB and Centurion? I'm attaching a screenshot of my current 501st profile info - is it in order? Thanks!
  5. Hey guys, at present I can't start my application for EIB because there is a thing saying "You cannot start a new topic" - I've emailed my GML at the UKG - what else should I do?
  6. Thanks guys! Small world, Aaron! Aside form Pontypridd being the home town of singer Tom Jones, and the place where Doctor Who was made from 2005 - 2012, it's not much to write home about, to be honest.
  7. argh. My 501st profile (2135) is coming up as 'classified record' - no idea why... Guess my GML need to fix it?
  8. Hi guys, it's been a good few years since I was EIB ('Elite', back then!) with my first TK back in the day, bu tI have finally got a new TK cleared today with the UK Garrison. It's been built conforming ot the Centurion CRL, so can someone please help me out and tell me what I need to do to apply for Centurion? I guess I need the links etc. Got all the photos etc ready. Thanks, Tee
  9. Okay chaps - My clearance photos! Thanks for the South Wales Troopers and surrounding supporters for all their help. FRONT REAR LEFT SIDE LEFT SIDE CU RIGHT SIDE RIGHT SIDE CU LIDS OFF ACTION shot A ACTION shot B I'm going for Centurion Status as soon as my TK# is renewed in the UKG. Any feedback is welcome.
  10. Anyone want to give my pics a check and let me know how I'm doing with Centurion in mind, please?
  11. Okay, all the kit on, here are some pics for pre-clearance inspection - I will note the things I need to change, so you don't need to worry about them... NB: These are NOT my clearance pics. I will do my final fixes then take some outdoors with a plain BG. Lids off: Not looking too bad. Authentic 1976 hair and sideburns - check! RIGHT side: 1/2" side gap, hope this will decrease as my girth/weight does. TD needs lower placement (re-bend clips). White Knee rivet. REAR full: Lower the TD, close calves more straight. (right one has a 'twist' in it) LEFT side: 1" side gap. Paint rivets white. lower TD. FRONT full: Might take another inch or half-inch off the top of thighs. Need to pull ab& cod up by shortening inner elastics. REAR lower: Close calves properly. Shorten crotch elastic by 1". Calves need padding inside - they're digging into my knee bones! REAR upper: neckseal needs tucking in. TD lower. I know the shoulder bridges look uneven - that's just the placement of elastic pulling the right one down lower. LEFT closeup: Paint rivets white. (does the holster need white rivets?) Lower TD. 1" side gap RIGHT closeup: Rivets on knee need to be white. Cosmetic popper on ab corner is only slightly visible. FRONT closeup: Turn (painful) left shin outwards a bit. Thigh before trimming: Just showing how much I've taken off the top edge of both thighs to allow my knees to bend.
  12. Thanks! I'll do that. Can't havemy legs being eroded by the edges!
  13. awesome work on the seam. Question - for Centurion Status, are gaps permitted, or must they be totally closed?
  14. Hello! I'm almost there with my Stunt build now, so I wanted to put up some of my progress pics for inspection. Apologies for the graininess of some of the pics but it was my antique mobile phone - rest assured my clearance and final pics will be crisp. I'm building with Centurion status in mind, so admins please can you check and advise as and where neccessary? First off, Ab plate, right hand side: Ab plate, Left hand side (rivets will be painted white) Cod piece rivet (does this need to be white also?) Closeups of the rivet inside: Shoulder bridges: Inside right of ab plate Inside of chest/shoulder bells assembly: Back/Kidney/buttplate assembly: Hand-painted Ear bumps ®: Ear bumps (L) Thermal Detonator: Dropbox R: Holster attachment on Left: Holster from outside: Belt (rivet covers now attached) Green lenses and hand painted detail (except tube stripes) S-Trim: Hand painted tears: Hand painted frown: Hand painted Vocoder Hand painted traps Curved Ammo Strap That's it for now. I will post up further pics very soon!
  15. Update - I've now reduced the black ear marks to ONE per side, not two.
  16. Here's a front pic taken last week, hopefully you'll see the eyes better.
  17. Hi, thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure what you mean. The eyes are trimmed as large as I can go, as I prefer a larger eye hole.
  18. My operating number is TK-2135. So picked as it's the date of birth of my late mother - 2nd January '35
