It's looking good. Don't worry about the ear gaps too much....if you look at some reference screen shots, you can see gaps in the ear pieces.. Yours look fine! I've heard some use glue for the brow...I didn't have to use anything on mine. If I had seen this sooner, I would have recommended painting the inside of your helmet black....it helps keep bright sun light out and makes it a little more mysterious when the kids are looking up trying to get a glance in your helmet.... Nice job so far!

Lookin good so far! You should be able to find screws at any hardware store.

You want the back and kidney plates with the least amount of gap / overlap with each other. Usually you can adjust your shoulder straps to take care of it. Do you have any pics so we can see?

Looks like it'd make the inside of the helmet cool but no way could get my head in my helmet with all that.

Also, I bought darker lenses and better decals, if choose to use decals, from trooperbay. I definitely recommend getting darker lens than what was provided with the kit
