  1. I wanna see what Shaun is going to do with the baby room - STAR WARS THEME!!!
  2. Let me be the first on the FISD to say ... Congratulations on your fatherhood status! His baby trooper arrived!
  3. Adding blue painters tape to the bottom of the scope. We want to keep the resin cast so that its adheres to the cement. I didn't have any matte spray paint, so I'm using cheap semi-gloss paint I had in the garage. We'll be weathering down the scope and blaster in the end. Added five coats of paint. Its winter in California and I had to let the paint set in between coats. Here's the finished look. I'm going to let it set overnight before I install it to the blaster. Reviewing the CRL on the ESB blaster. Making our way through the punch list. Have a great evening all!
  4. This is a beautiful resin cast of the original M38 scope. Here's the preparation before installing it. I'm using a utility knife and an X-acto knife to remove the casting marks. Then I will use 3M sandpaper - P150 Medium Smooth to give it the final touches.
  5. Back in the saddle again! After a long holiday break and a couple months off, we're back to the build. A special thank you to Sabrye (JC) for donating the resin M38 scope!
  6. Shaun, when we worked on Omar's helmet, we copied the actually helmet found on starwarshelmets.com. If you have a moment, you might want to redo the tip of the left frown and get close to the references below. I know it will be a task, but it stray away from the ROTJ frown. I hope this helps. I studied your beautiful helmet over and over and I can see you painted a little more on the "lips" area. I'm not sure if it will be an issue, but let's see what Tony can find on it.
  7. I have both RT-Mod and NE. RT-Mod arrives fully assembled and ready to wear. Its ready for basic approval and fits up to Size 8. Centurion requirement: Change out the bottom trim to S-Trim. NE has to be built and will require you to cut out the bottom to your comfort. Its the biggest in my discovery.
  8. Shaun, I have a bag full of rivets for your build. Save your money. I can mail them to you or wait until we meet. =)
  9. Germain, the NE chest plate and shoulder bells are big for the average size trooper (requires some trimming). Now if you're a NFL linebacker body size like me, its pretty small. Unfortunately, I trimmed mine on a mannequin during my newbie days. So I have the large gaps while swinging my arms. =(
  10. So happy our thread is helping troopers. Some exciting news in our part of the galaxy. We're starting our team builds again this coming spring. Some builds will be new and other builds will be "continuing where we left off". Stay tuned. =)
  11. Hello Steve, I'm an AT-AT Driver with the legion. Please join us at the Armored Cavalry Detachment. http://www.armoredcavalry.net/ We can assist with your project. Cheers!
  12. One of the first new members that welcomed me to the FISD and world class fellowship! A Triooper Helping Trooper!!! Congrats TIM!!!
  13. UPDATED: 02/05/2016 Hello Chris, I saw your message on my Centurion page (sorry so late) and found your build thread (thanks to your signature hyperlink). I have not worked on AP armor yet. We have a member in our garrison with an AP kit. I'm looking forward to his team build and understanding AP armor. Since ABS80 (the armor maker) chimed in and presented the best way to help you, I went ahead and deleted my original post. I'm sure he will be able to assist you moving forward and continue to guide you. You did a spectacular job on your shim extensions already. I'll stop by from time to time to visit your build. Keep up the great work! Walter
  14. Hello Chris, sorry for the late reply. I just saw your message here. I'll visited your build thread and the AP armor maker chimed in and should be able to help you now. Take care and best wishes on your build.
