  1. Congratulations on Centurion Approval! I know I am late to the party - but I'm on Rob's wait list, so I'm researching RT-Mod Centurion builds
  2. Welcome Garrett, to FISD!! It looks like you've started off well - stayed away from Ebay, and looked here first. You'll be alright, if you keep doing research and asking questions along the way while you wait.
  3. Congratulations on the arrival of your armor! Looks great!
  4. Definitely a beautiful piece! That is enough to make me consider one. Thanks for sharing, and congratulations on your stupid smile! I personally believe that it does need some slight weathering though. I've never been around a weapon (unless it was BRAND NEW) that doesn't show at least some minor wear and tear.
  5. Awesome stuff, Glen!! I'm always inspired when I see pics of the 501st in action. Can't wait for my armor to be ready. Thanks for sharing - as always!
  6. Damn. I was slightly excited for a second there - based on the back log at TKboots. Luckily, my armor won't be ready until next spring/summer so I don't need to splurge on boots that are nearly twice as much $ and not Centurion certifiable. Patience is a virtue. I guess. If you want to be a jedi or something...
  7. Yeah... Wow. Quite the lazy approach. As you pointed out, the Brow and all of the S-Trim, etc were left on for the molding process. Might look nice sitting on a shelf someplace, but hardly ideal for using and trooping, I'd imagine.
  8. Very nice! Thanks for sharing, and enjoy your trooping tomorrow!
  9. Wow... I'm intrigued, but I'm like you. I have no clue how to do all of that, or if it could be useful for mold making / armor pulling but it is pretty freaking cool and as you said, interesting.
  10. NICE!! EOD Helmet, that is. I'd recommend checking out the Battlefield series. More team-based than CoD, and BF4 is going to be 64 players online for next gen.... Enough of that though... BRING US A NEW BATTLEFRONT!!!!!
  11. You can buy a fully converted Hasbro E-11 from Doopydoos, but it is actually a lot cheaper to just buy and build a Doopydoos resin kit from them. I understand that you may not feel comfortable with a build, but I'm sure that you could get help from the Garrison members locally, and keep in mind that if you ever try to certify for EIB/Centurion, a Hasbro conversion is no no good. Good luck!
  12. Ooooohhhh.... Battlefront II. Yeah. Definitely one of the best ever. I may have to go and play that again just for old times' sake. I'm hopeful with you that the new Battlefront will arrive and be a "force" to be reckoned with. DizzyStormtrooper, I haven't played it yet, but if/when I get around to doing so - I'll definitely keep my eye out for those!
  13. LoL... Always seems to work that way though, huh? The sequel is a lot of fun, but I will admit that I think the original is an overall better game.
  14. Just saw an ad, and thought I'd pass along the info so that anyone interested could check it out: Gamestop has Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Pre-Owned) for the Xbox 360 on sale for only $2.99 until the 8th of October. It is actually one of the most fun Star Wars games that I've played. Certainly the most fun since about 2003 when Republic Commando was available on the original Xbox.
  15. Good luck, Justin! Keep everyone posted on your progress.
  16. Brenton, I'd take a look at SorenM's build thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24823-another-doopy-doos-e-11-pimped-build/ This one, by Techne is pretty solid (In my humble opinion) also: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22649-my-resin-doopys-e-11-build-and-the-mistakes-i-made-along-the-way/ Keep us posted man!!
  17. THIS bit of information has now been filed away for when my kit finally arrives some day. NO ACETONE ANWHERE near it. Thanks for sharing! I'd puke if I watched some chemical start eating my armor. I just know it.
  18. Vern, First of all, congratulations on 5000 posts. Thank you for sharing so much with the community. Even though I haven't begun my build yet (because I'm still on an extensive wait list) I've been the beneficiary of the collective knowledge and friendly spirit shared so willingly by FISD's many members. Also, I find it slightly cool that my 100th post is to congratulate you on reaching 5000. Again, congratulations!!! Here's to 5000 more!!
  19. That squad must have been working serious overtime. Helmet looks great, Alexey! Well done, indeed!
  20. This is so cool.... My son will be two in 31 days. I hope that one day he just begs and begs and begs for his own TK armor. Looking great though!!!
  21. Wow Maxim. I just found your build, and I'll be following it. One day, my kit will come.... In the meantime, I'll watch all of the build threads like yours (great photo-journaling, by the way.... Brilliant! - and appreciated) to learn the tips/tricks and things that you learn along the way. Looking good mate! Keep at it, and thanks for sharing!
  22. Two thumbs up from this guy!!! Excellent work on finding that droid!
  23. So. Freaking. Cool. Congratulations, my friend. Soon, we'll see a TK designation for you! Awesome, awesome, awesome. I am happily jealous.
