How do ANH and ESB blasters differ?

I was wondering this myself. I've seen it done both ways. which is considered correct?

a great idea for storing keys, id and such. but it'd be a bummer if it fell off or got snatched during a troop.

started on my ears last night, dang. not a lot of real definitive trim lines. gonna be tough to get these looking good. already messed one up. glad the kit came with a spare.

Hmmmm.. ok. I can kinda picture it. have to try to visualize since I don't have my lid with me at the moment. I seem to think that the gap is so wide. that the only thing that screw will go into is air. but I could be wrong. if it is. I have to see if I can dig my scraps out of the trash and shim it for a screw placement. Guess i could always use a piece of a for sale sign if I needed too. Thanks for the feedback!

This thread is awesome. I'm working on my ATA right now and hit the same problem. I haven't drilled any holes yet though. I assumed that the ears would cover the gap on the left side (looking at the helmet) but I was more concerned with getting the rubber s shaped lining around the bottom with that gap. How do you work that out?

so do you polish with the meguires before painting/decals or after? which meguires do you use. I wouldn't want to use somthing that will wreck the plastic. any help is appreciated!

What are ATA helmets considered? and what's the difference between ANH and ESB? just the frown color? Seems from pics I've seen, that the ANH style is more popular. Is that true?

What are your reference points for marking the cap back?

I'm right where you are. got my tkboots ordered and am on the ATA wait list. I also have a blaster kit to work on but in the mean time, i'm working on a boba too so I have plenty to do. Unfortunatly, not much time. Thinking about getting the helmet sent out earlier as it seems to be a much easier build than the boba helmet I'm currently working on
